The Lyle Hotel

Quiet and comfortable set up and perfect for the self-sufficient traveler who doesn’t want to be fussed over. Torn about the bar & restaurant no longer operating as it might have been less quiet. I arrived by bicycle and was able to lock up in the fenced in patio (you cannot see through the fence) with no issue. Unfortunately the rooms are not accessible to those with mobility challenges as they are upstairs and this old, restored building has not elevator. Thoughtfully set up and I imagine that even when booked up there is plenty of common area to share, and indoors and out. Actual bike rack to lock up at would be nice as wood more hooks in bathrooms and rooms (my room had no closet). The trains make themselves known but I wasn’t bothered. Would return.

I loved this little hotel from the Herman miller pendants in the restaurant to the everything you need in its proper place in the petite room. Great bed pillows coffee maker ,space for clothes in closet, nice toiletries, complimentary bag , easy elegant walking shower and great helpful staff. Nice neighborhood-. If you need a lot space, this is probably not right for u( ran into neighbor who was leaving with large husband but for me traveling on my own , it was perfect.

Another fabulous stay at The Lyle, thanks on large part to Johnny Pelzer and the whole team. We’ve returned now for our third stay and the staff remembers us and greets us warmly and with care. From storing our bikes to making sure we had our drink coupons for the bar, not to mention beautiful rooms adjacent to one another. Kitchenette room was perfect for adult siblings to share with lots of room and amenities.

Loved this hotel in a super nice neighborhood where you will find many embassies. Hotel was very clean, felt new, and was well decorated with nice touches that gave it a more homey feel. Really large main room with two queen beds, couch, kitchenette, and separate bathroom. Everything we needed was in that room! Front desk and valet were both so welcoming. One of the nicer places we’ve stayed in DC and a quick 1/2 mile walk to many restaurants. Will stay again!

Small boutique hotel in a great neighborhood (Adam’s Morgan), near DuPont Circle. Recently redone. Excellent service. Well appointed room. Sferra linens. Beautiful shower. Excellent bar and restaurant, both very vibrant and bustling.

My husband and I spent 3 nights here as part of our honeymoon travelling around the US. The service was exceptional and we were made to feel very special with cake and champagne left in our room. All staff are lovely particularly the doorman and Marjorie on the front desk. We would highly recommend this hotel and the surrounding area to visit and stay.
