Thank you to Tom, Evie and the Team for making my Mum's party a success. The venue was a perfect size and the Christmas decorations added to the party feeling. High praise for the delicious homemade buffet and brilliant service from all of the staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended.

What a charming country pub with a tasty menu and great service. Somewhere not that easy to come by nowadays. We camped from Friday to Sunday and the facilities were more than adequate with clean toilets and showers and easy electric hookup. We advised them we would be later than checkin time and we’re reassured that was ok and even had a table reserved for Friday night dinner for us people. Completely recommended and will definitely be back!

Simply chose this Inn for its midway point on our travels. Had forgotten how much fun staying at inns can be compared to the big chain hotels. Steep staircase up to room, so caution if oversized suitcase with you. Creaky floors, doors with a physical key, room looking into peaceful back garden (& an eye on our car). A lot of coffee, chocolate drinks & tea bags in room - very generous. Anxious that being above pub we’d not get sleep, but surprisingly good sleep, & in morning had breakfast in pub downstairs which (again) was unexpectedly very pleasant. We had healthy breakfast with fruit, croissant, ham, cereal… Attentive man serving us, checking if we needed more of something.

Excellent food and great customer service. Is becoming a favourite of ours. Great selection of drinks too. The layout is brilliant, cosy in places and able to accommodate any size group. Beer garden is fab on a sunny day. Really needs to be visited as often as possible.

Fabulous find while driving and stopped for a coffee and/or lunch. Their Sunday lunch was outstanding and good value for money for the quality of the food they serve. There are plenty f tables and the Blue Room has airplane sears which was an added treat.

Lovely little campsite next to a real ale pub. Friendly owners and spotlessly clean facilities. Grass and hard standing pitches for vans only. No tents or children. Dogs allowed. A perfect stopover. We missed the beer festival so will need to return again.
