Stayed in Ibis styles for 2 days. The hotel receptionists and staff were so approachable and very accommodating. They guided us on how to go about the city with the different transportation available and the must see attractions in Luzern. Breakfast offered a variety of foods. Very clean room and toilet. I will recommend it to my friends who will visit Switzerland.

Centrally located in a quiet street in the city centre near the main train station ; stylish renovation of the hotel and functional kitchenette in the room I stayed (can you imagine there is a dish washer in the room ?😂and every day the housekeeper used it for our dirty dishes); laundry room on the first room and cozy cafe on the ground floor; reasonable price considering a Swiss standard; overall, excellent (input the confirmation number from trip.com and your name when you need to do the self check in at the entrance indoors; the door is closed and looks locked but actually you can open it 😂) ; will book it again when coming here in Luzern again ) 👍

Went there with my parents. The location is great. The hotel is very old and the room looks just okay. The pillow is very low and not confortable. Breakfast is good.

It's pretty good. The front desk staff is very enthusiastic and patient. They gave me a guest card when I checked in and explained how to use it. The breakfast is good, with many choices, including yogurt, coffee, various breads and bacon. The room facilities are also sufficient, with a small window for a good view. The downside is that the bed and pillow are too soft and lack support.

It's only two stops from the train station by bus. It's very close to the lions and the covered bridge. There's a big Coop downstairs. The location is unbeatable!
The triple room I booked has a sofa bed, which is very large.
Breakfast is at the hotel next door, which is highly recommended. The cheese and fruit are delicious and very popular.
When I checked in, the room card was not automatically issued. I went to the hotel next door and told them, and they gave me the key directly. It was very efficient.

Hotel was located near the Lucerne station and easily accessible. Also a short walk to chapel bridge and old town. There is a dining area where you can have your meals and also provides coffee and tea 24/7. However, the television does not have any English channels and the tap water is cold. There is hot water for bathing but it doesn’t last long.

The location is very good, 10 minutes walk from the train station, the room is soundproof, the room size of the superior room is also available, there is a Chase balcony. Hotel breakfast 40 francs is a bit expensive, but there are many varieties, croissants are soft and delicious, there are 4-5 kinds of cheese, you can also squeeze a variety of juices, vegetable juices, smoked salmon tastes very good. At the front desk, the restaurant service is very good. Swiss prices are 20% higher than France, and stayed for two nights, very good. The location is good, close to the train station and most sightseeing places in Luzern. The receptionists were all friendly and helpful. The only drawback of the hotel is noise levels. There are many restaurants around with outdoor seating so you would hear people chatting all the way till 11 pm. 5AM in the morning there would be loud street cleaning trucks. There was one night some bar nearby had loud drunk people noise till 2AM. There's no AC in the room so you have to leave the window open and deal with all the noises.

GGuest UserThe hotel is a typical old-fashioned hotel, decorated in antique style and the elevator is small. Outside the window of the room is Lake Lusen, the scenery is invincible. Breakfast is good. Hotel parking is not convenient, parking is not available at the entrance of the hotel, opposite a social parking lot is charged (temporary parking is not charged), there are two hotel dedicated parking spaces but often not about. However, there is a public parking lot 300 meters away from the hotel. After check-in, the front desk will inform the parking lot location and enter the license plate information, free parking is available.

Bed: The bedding is clean and hygienic, and the white quilt cover has a bumpy feel. It looks very pleasant to cover and is very comfortable. The mattress is firm and supportive, which is our favorite type;
Bathroom: relatively large, with wet and dry separation in the shower, and the toilet is clean;
Balcony: Go back to the room at night and sit on the balcony for a while, very comfortable and relaxing;
Front desk: The service staff is friendly and able to coordinate according to some of our requirements;
Overall very satisfied!

AAnonymous UserThe staff at Hotel Baslertor were awesome. Toby, Lars and the lady were so friendly and helpful, We felt so welcomed and like the room we stayed in. There are seating areas in the hotel and we were able to relax in between our outings. It was convenient to hop on a bus to get to the main train station and we are able to walk to many places. If housekeeping could keep the room even cleaner it would be perfect.

The hotel is not far from the train station. Convenient transportation. Very nice room. Close to the Chapel Bridge. The view is super beautiful.Overall like it a lot, will have to go to stay again. How could someone ring the doorbell so early in the morning? The bell rang for a while and then stopped. Just as we were about to fall asleep, the doorbell rang again. When the doorbell rang for the third time, we went to the door to see what was going on. As soon as we walked to the door, we heard the sound of someone rushing downstairs in the corridor. Looking out through the peephole, the lights in the corridor were still on and no one was there. There couldn't be a thief. We suddenly lost all sleep and immediately contacted the landlord on WHATSAPP. There was no reply, so we contacted Ctrip customer service. It was not until 19:57 local time that Ctrip customer service contacted the landlord and told us that the hotel's reply was that because the apartment is located in a public area, it cannot control who rings the doorbell. The doorbell was indeed installed in the hallway. The name of the apartment was clearly written on the bottom of the doorbell. There should be no possibility of pressing the wrong button. Moreover, the doorbell should be set up with a doorbell shut-off function like a hotel, otherwise it will seriously affect the normal rest of the guests and make people doubt the safety.
