The hotel's prime location near Lucerne's attractions and amenities, combined with its cleanliness and friendly staff, ensures a convenient and enjoyable stay. The spacious, well-equipped rooms cater to diverse guests' needs.

We stopped in Luzerne for a night to visit some friends and make a long trip from Italy to Basel shorter. This place is not too close to the rail station but a short tram ride will get you to a 2-3 minute walk. The hotel itself is small and nestled near a major shopping area. There are not a lot of amenities (some drinks for sale out of a cooler) and breakfast is voucher at one of there partner hotels very close by. I don't know if all the rooms had a terrace but our room, 204, shared a large terrace with the next room over that overlooked another lower terrace and the pool. We didn't use the pool. It was small and looked well kept. I don't remember anything remarkable or bad about the room and we didn't have trouble sleeping. One bonus was that there was a Kuhn outlet store next to the hotel so I was able to pick up a quality enameled cast iron fondue pot for a reasonable price. The rating is based on the location, amenities, and cost of the room (not a super value but there were not a lot of options available and it was only one night)

We stayed in the addition called Guest House Rösi and had a suite of 2 rooms, one of which housed the 2 parents and 2 children and the other one which I, as the grandmother, occupied. We were on the 3rd floor and had great views of the neighborhood and a small roof garden. There was a second outside door which we could close and make our 2 rooms into a suite. This was very handy. I enjoyed my privacy, but of course, the other 4 had a more crowded situation. The children took advantage of the pool, and after a long overseas flight, this was a boon. Although the hotel is older, I appreciated the charm and central location. My son was miffed, however, that the first clerk we spoke with did not give him a pass that would have cut our parking lot cost in half. We later found out that it should have been offered.
