Stayed for 3 nights in may in camper van area- cost €30 per night including elec and two people. The toilets were clean- but the showers could do with a make over - not sure why they are so poor - push button and only stays on for 30 seconds max. Laundry area with machines €6. Pool area was nice - plenty of space and sun beds. Bar area and music on a Sunday. Supermarket seems to be in the process of being set up so only a few things in there when we visited. 20 min walk from Praia de Luz - you can also can the bus there from right outside the park. Plenty of food options there and of course the beach. Uber back from there on an evening around £4 if you don’t fancy the walk and hust a few mins wait. Bus across the rd from the site goes to Lagos - €1.60 single. Lagos is lovely and great board walks and marina. Again we caught uber back twice €4 - so cheap. Don’t let the fact the campsite is out of the beach areas put you off as plenty of options to get around.

Very neglected site. Pitches not level & overgrown with weeds. 4amp electricity. Toilet/ shower block immaculate but no shower head. Water came from a pipe but plenty hot water. People next door informed us all orbitur sites are the same. Ok for one night

Thought we’d try the Orbitur Valverde Site whilst touring Portugal in our campervan, as stayed in one of their other sites during our trip, which was really nice. However not so with this site. Really disappointed at the run down state of the site, where grounds have been neglected and every pitch we looked at (and there were many!) were all infested by ant nests (millions of the little blighters). 3 out of the 5 toilet/shower blocks were closed. One of the remaining ladies shower block had no hot water and was basically a dribble of water, not enough to shower. WIFI only available at reception or in their sitting area. Needs a bit of money spent on upgrading the buildings as they all looked in poor condition. Really not worth 31 euros per night!

Valverde used to be ok, a bit free range but livable! and the price at that time was acceptable, but this year the prices have gone through the roof and are not representative of the facilities available! As in , no bar, no restaurant, no swimming pool, no supermarket! We have used the site for 4 years, but will not be returning! Now cheaper to hire an apartment than pay pitch fees. The infrastructure is showing its age, the toilet blocks are outdated, cold and basic! There is no water on pitch, must be hosepipes or watering can from nearest tap, shared electricity posts. The fees have virtually doubled and the facilities are very poor.

Goed onthaal , fijne gemeenschappelijke ruimtes en zwembad. Bar heel mooi opgeknapt met lekker eten, mooi terras en heel vriendelijk personeel. Altijd open, geeft een gemeenschapsgevoel. Ruime plaatsen, veel schaduw. Sanitaire blokken zijn wel aan opknap toe !!!!

Nog nooit zo'n vieze dure verwaarloosde camping gezien. Vieze oude toiletten en douches. Camping wordt totaal niet bijgehouden. Plaatsen voor campers e.d. stonden vol onkruid. 50 euro per nacht pure afzetterij. Camping zou mijn inziens niet open mogen zijn.

UPDATE Camping Valverde Orbitur Lagos; Het is weer even geleden! In de tussentijd is er een upgrade geweest van het zwembad en sanitaire blok #1!!!! Totaal sanitaire blokken waren er 7. Een voor 1 teruggebracht naar 4 in de zomer en 3 voor de winter! Bij het schrijven van "deze" hebben we al meer dan 4 weken geen warme water in 2 blokken! En volgens receptie gaat het nog 1 maand duren.... Blok #1 (de enige met redelijk warm water, en de nieuwste) heeft druk knoppen, dus als je lang haar hebt en 2 handen nodig om het te wassen, ben je de pineut! Sproeiknoppen? Je zul moeten doen met een straaltje, geen deur sluitingen of haken voor kleding... Heren toilet deel (blok #1) hangt altijd een riool geur! Moet niet kunnen. B.T.W. te weinig waterdruk (heb medelijden met de schoonmaaksters) Als oorzaak van de langdurige herstel wordt opgegen: We moeten alles aan hoofdkantoor in Porto doorgeven en als ze alle bestellingen binnen hebben, worden ze naar het zuiden gestuurd!!! Camping Orbitur bekeken en verkend voor mogelijke komst in december 2025. De camping oogt zeer onaantrekkelijk en is zeer slecht onderhouden. De plekken zijn kaal en erg modderig bij regen. Het sanitair bekeken en wat opvalt is dat alles erg verouderd is en het niet fris ruikt. Na ons bezoek hebben we besloten om camping Orbitur niet te gebruiken voor onze wintervakantie.

Estuvimos una familia de 3 personas en una furgoneta camper durante 7 días .Nuestra experiencia ha sido buena en líneas generales ( ubicación , sombras, piscina , ) excelente , ( limpieza baños) buena. Algún día he visto suciedad pero más por el mal uso . En nuestra opinión como familia que llevamos mucho años utilizando camping en una escala del 1 al 10 le damos un 8 .Recomendaciones llevar algo de ropa más abrigada incluso en verano y algunas parcelas tiene una bolas de unos frutos que caen de los árboles que se pegan a las sueles de los zapatos . Desde Madrid un saludo para Orbitur Valverde
