Luz Bay Hotel

Great hotel , large rooms and lovely grounds . We will definitely visit again. As other reviews have mentioned the rooms are a little tired and some of the staff are disinterested. However , the rooms were clean and cleaned again every day . The grounds were well maintained and pretty. Great location for walking into Luz. Huge buffet breakfast . Really good value for money . There is a hotel car park (of sorts) but it's €10 per day!! , so we parked on the street , perhaps in high season it's needed but certainly wasn't needed when we were there

Really clean rooms. Breakfast lots of choices from full breakfast to cereal toast etc. Staff really helpful. Supermarket just up the road. Only down side was that the pools were really cold. Bus stop at the top of the road. 2 people to Lagos €3.20 Cant wait to go back

Currently at Luz Bay Hotel, I read the negative reviews and was dreading my holiday. Pleasantly surprised, staff in reception all day long and always willing to help. As for the divers in the pool, I've been here for 6 days and haven't seen a single one. There are plenty of sunbeds and two adult and a child's pool. The grounds are well maintained and very pretty. It is a short walk to the beach and the bus stop to Lagos is only a two minute walk. If you are feeling adventurous you can walk the coastal path, be prepared for a bit of a climb to start. Yes the hotel isn't 4 star but they are not charging 4 star prices. All in all we have had a super holiday and would return.

Booked a standard room ,but was given superior room which is fine but when we arrived, the room smelled of dusky damp only to find out there's black mould on the wall and the aircon was full of it. The room was dirty and outdated. Complained to reception they moved us to better room, which I'm thankful of. Staff were friendly but sorry to say definitely not a 4 star hotel. No bar ,no drinks facility, breakfast was basic, pool needs upgrade, the rooms need upgrade. Apart from being very close to beach that's only good thing about this place.

Arrived latish at night. Was shown where our room was, along a very dark path so trying to negotiate 2 suitcases was difficult. Room was spacious and clean but we had no chairs on our balcony and did not get these for over 24 hours albeit asking reception a few times. Breakfast, we thought, was good. Plenty choice and clean breakfast bar and lovely staff in there. No pool bar, no evening meals that were advertised had you wanted them. A stroll to the beachfront for food was sometimes inconvenient if you were having a chill day by the pool. Sunbeds tired and as stated previously scuba divers just decided to take over the pool when they felt like it. All in all we enjoyed our holiday at this hotel but would certainly not recommend or rush back

I have been for 4 nights so far. The hotel itself is in a great location and the air con s decent but hat is pretty much the end of the positives. The hotel is of and run down. The rooms are dusty and basic. I’m sure there are better beds in hostels. The breakfast choices for a 4 star are shameful. Pool area needs cleaned and beds are so uncomfortable. I’m sitting at the pool and 10 scuba divers have taken over the pool WTAF! There is NO pool bar and the reception staff are weird and don’t speak to you.
