Hotels Near Spanish (Grund) Gate in Luxembourg

The location is very convenient near the main train station, plus close to bus and tram stops. There is a lot of construction on the road outside the hotel, but it was not a problem. Our room was a good size, not huge, but good open closet/storage space. The bed was comfortable with really good pillows! The bathroom had a really big shower, small sink, but overall nice. Plenty of outlets/plugs, good mirrors, a long desk. We didn't do the breakfast, so can't speak to that. Nor did we go to the rooftop bar. While the lobby/reception area is small it's welcoming and new, just like the rooms. Everything was clean and new and modern. The staff was super helpful and nice. We would happily stay here again.

The location of this Hotel is very good near to the train station. There are several kind of restaurants near to the hotel. This time is family trip, I go to Luxembourg with my two children and previously I ask for a free extra bed, we have a quite comfortable stay in this hotel. And this room is near to the place for breakfast and there is a kid corner , my son likes to play LEGO in that zone. The check out time is also good for our family, we only have to check out before 12:00. It is not too rush for us !

Review of thurs 28.12.23: Room 502 Hotel Grey Luxembourg. Quant hotel open 24 hours. Right across from the main train station. The room was modern with a safe, tea and coffee facilities, fridge, and built-in wall radio Rooms with modern decor and soundproof. The bathroom was nice with a big shower. The reception staff Sabir was very helpful. Free Wi-Fi is available. We did not have breakfast. All trams and buses are free to use. Walking distance to the tourist section. Couldn't have been happier with my stay at Empire. The location was ideal, being just across the road from the main train station and tram stop, making it incredibly easy to travel to all the sights that the city has to offer. As for the hotel itself, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was comfortable, clean and welcoming. Would absolutely recommend to anyone planning to visit Luxembourg City!

Was able to do an early check-in and the hotel looks exactly the same in the picture. Staff were really friendly. Staff even booked taxi for us at dawn for our early flight. Hotel and room looks super nice! Have a vid of the room but can’t seem to upload it. Overall really satisfied!!

Excellent excellent stay! We were a family of 4 who stayed in 2 queen rooms at the 18th floor for 2 nights, and let me say I only have great things to say about this hotel. First, the location was no problem for us as public transport is free and the bus dropped us about 3-4 mins walk from the hotel; it is about 30 mins to the main city but the bus is regular and we didn't have any problems. Second, the rooms were really big and clean. The toilets even better and they had a bathtub which is rare. The front desk staff was so nice; I didn't catch their name but we were offered cookies as soon as we checked in at the reception and they were always so kind and helpful. The swimming pool was open and we went in the evening to try out the pool and there were only 2 other people and it was nice to have a quick dip in the pool (we did get lost trying to find it but you just need to go through the gym to the bathroom to access the swimming area!) Next, the breakfast was delicious especially the eggs yum and wide variety of food/drinks. We are doing a Europe trip and by far, this has been the best hotel we have stayed in our whole lives! Highly recommend everyone to book with this hotel if you are having doubts.

arrived at 23 past the hostess told me that he finished his service and that he will check us in quickly!!! staff lack of professionalism speaks loudly and laughs among themselves in front of the customers, 9am the maids are the souks in front of the rooms. mediocre breakfast for a 4 star hotel can choose. Bad experience!!

Great hotel within walking distance of the airport terminal with free parking. Room was clean and this hotel was a fantastic base for our trip to the Belgium Grand Prix at Spa - approx 75 min drive. The local shuttle bus into Luxembourg was over the road with frequent buses into town taking approx 20 mins. All public transport in Luxembourg is free so we visited town in the evening for some lovely food.

The hotel is in the suburban office area. Quiet and well equipped. The waiter will at least speak English. The reception German is very fluent. I was woken up by the phone at night and asked if I was parked in a charging parking space, which was very unreasonable.

Outstanding customer service & cleanliness. What a wonderful find. My husband first stayed here while on a business trip last year. Our daughter is now doing a 7 week internship nearby and he proposed the Residhome to be her home base while here. I’m so pleased we didn’t chose an Airbnb or a hotel in the city. This place feels brand new. Everything is immaculate from the common areas, laundry facilities to the parking lot, everything feels and looks brand new. Now onto customer service, there is no one single person that has not been attentive, cordial and accommodating. Everyone treat us like a good old friend and we love to feel the connection and the closeness of the personnel. The room is spacious, consisting of floor to ceiling windows so there is plenty of light to make it feel bigger, it also has a sitting area, kitchenette (complete with dishwasher, refrigerator, pots, pans & cooking and eating utensils) bathroom is spacious also with a nice two shower heads. The breakfast is wonderful. You’ll find a vast variety of delicious baked goods, cheeses, jams, deli ham, yogurt, fruits, French soft boiled eggs, coffee and juices. The area is safe and has everything you need within walking distance. The shopping mall across the street has supermarket, dry cleaning, nail salon, a discount store called Action that can be compared to a small Walmart in the US, a movie theater plus all the stores you expect in a mall. You also have an Aldi around the corner and a beautiful revamped coal factory area with several restaurants. A gym is also within waking distance. Our daughter feels safe and at home and we have peace of mind having her staying here. Thanks to everyone at the hotel for a lovely experience. We will definitely recommend Residhome to anyone coming to Lux.
