Smartflats - New Yorker

You are supposed to get an email 48 hours before with security codes . I called on numerous occasions with response room is being prepared or/and details will be sent imminently. Nothing materialised. In desperation went to property at 16.00 hours to be informed after persistence “ we cannot host you “ !!! With a party of 7 we eventually managed to source alternate accommodation at extra costs . Appalling don’t take the gamble.

Never expected to find such a place in Luxembourg. Location is top but the apartment itself isn't worth the money. Broken elevator (our room was at the 5th floor), dirty corridors, sticky stairs, trash bins left there for at least 3 days we were there. Zero action from the management.

Extremely poor service. The bad: * They did not send me the code required to actually enter the building - had to ask another resident to give it to us. * The external blinds on the windows did not work. Terrace could not be accessed because the blind was stuck in closed position. Living room (where sofa bed was) could not be made dark because the blind was stuck open. * Poor state of repair - handle coming off window, cracks in glass. * Internal downstairs door to building malfunctioned - my group and other residents stuck outside until we were able to force it open. * On arrival, no one had bothered to empty the dishwasher * External downstairs door did not lock and there was a man sleeping in the foyer of the building * My email to Smartflats about the above went unanswered. The good: * It was clean
