We booked two rooms. My parents' room had a king-size bed. While they found the *huladong* (spicy soup) and *doumo* (millet paste) at breakfast not to their liking – perhaps a matter of personal taste – they did enjoy the vegetarian buns. As for the family room we booked, the main bed felt a bit small. We also noticed the sink's drain pipe was leaking when we used it; since it was late, my husband ended up fixing it himself. Furthermore, the shower's drainage was poor, seemingly due to an incorrect slope. On the positive side, the service was excellent and very welcoming; they even met us at the parking lot. The in-room 'Xiao Du' smart system was very convenient. The surroundings were very quiet, and the hotel is conveniently located near Luoyi Ancient City. Overall, it was a decent stay.

A very nice and comfortable hotel in an unbeatable location, and has a beautiful rooftop terrace. Located on the main axis of the Ancient City, but off on a quieter part so the city will not disturb your rest and relaxation. Also 5 minutes away walk from the subway and busses to the Luoyang Grottoes, White Horse Temple, and the Luoyang Museum, but the real treat is to be able to walk through the old city at night, right at your doorstep. The room was big, comfortable, had lots of electrical outlets and a nice shower. Staff was open and friendly. There are lockers at the front desk for safe storage.

I rarely write reviews, but this was my first time in Luoyang. After looking at many hotels and guesthouses, I ultimately decided on Fengye with some hesitation. However, I was genuinely not disappointed! The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, the elevators were efficient, and the room amenities were also very new. The location is absolutely unbeatable – it's only a few minutes' walk from Jiefang Road subway station, at the intersection of two subway lines, making it incredibly convenient to get anywhere. There's a shopping mall right downstairs, placing it firmly in the city center. I'll definitely stay here again!

Loved the way the room was set up — a charming little space with a tatami mat perfect for enjoying tea. The ambience of the room is classy and inviting. The room attendants were also very helpful and polite, making our stay even more pleasant. The breakfast offered a wide variety of healthy and delicious options, which we thoroughly enjoyed each morning. The location is excellent, just a few steps from Lijingmen station, and very central to many attractions and points of interest. Overall, we had a wonderful 4-night stay and would gladly choose this hotel again on our next visit. Highly recommended!

As a frequent business traveler who stays in many hotels, this was my first visit here, and it's by far the most satisfying experience I've had. The hotel boasts an excellent location, directly opposite a popular 'internet-famous' snack street, featuring renowned eateries like Xiaojie Guotie and Xiaojie Tianfu. It's also incredibly convenient, just about a 3-minute walk from the subway station. The Tianzi Jialiu Museum is just diagonally opposite, and for those looking to explore, the 'internet-famous' Yingtianmen scenic area is a mere 15-minute walk to the right from the hotel entrance, very close to Tiantang Mingtang. The hotel's unique decor, with its charming retro style, is matched by its incredibly enthusiastic service. The security guard at the entrance was exceptionally helpful, assisting with parking guidance and luggage. The front desk staff were efficient during check-in and patiently explained the local area, offering invaluable tips on navigating nearby tourist attractions and avoiding common tourist traps. Our room was spacious and bright, featuring incredibly comfortable bedding and convenient smart room amenities. The housekeeping staff were also proactively helpful with cleaning. Breakfast was excellent, offering a wide variety, including a delicious local specialty beef soup that was incredibly flavorful. The restaurant staff and chefs were equally enthusiastic and friendly. The afternoon tea was also impressive, with freshly ground coffee, a selection of Haibi (a local Luoyang drink available in many flavors), and delightful small snacks and exquisite mini cakes – all fantastic. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone I know.

This guesthouse is practically an immersive experience of Luoyang culture! The classical scroll murals in the guest rooms have a particularly rich texture under the lighting, while the warm and sophisticated wooden decor and soft, clean bedding ensure a restful night's sleep. Even more impressive is the design of the common areas. Longmen Grottoes-themed murals, traditional latticed windows, and cultural symbols of Luoyang as the ”Capital of Thirteen Dynasties” complement each other, with every step revealing Luoyang's rich history. From check-in to check-out, you'll feel the exquisite presentation of local culture. Staying here isn't just about resting; it's a condensed journey through the aesthetics of the ancient capital. Culture enthusiasts and photography buffs shouldn't miss it!

i saw many positive reviews and was excited to see if it was reality... Simply put, its worth visiting Luoyang just to stay at May Fourth Youth Hostel. The level of cleanliness, amicability, overall positive yet low-key ambience should be the standard across the country. From the music choice in the lobby to the staff who run it, It's clear it has been designed and is run by people who really understand what it means to be a traveller and what makes a good hotel. The rooms are spacious (sometimes hostels can feel claustophobic - but not here), with beds having more space than typical, good quality pillow and duvets. Suited for both travellers from the east and west, there are seated and squat toilets, with a large array of showers. The washing machine is great (if they had a couple of good Dryers too that would be amazing), as well as the communal rooms with vending machines, pool table, and seating area (including the lovely quiet library space) The location is decent too, a spacious cultural park is nearby with the hostel itself tucked away from the main street, creating convinience but not crowds. The price is perfect! ideal for young people, students and solo travellers visiting on a budget. My friend decided to stay here two more days just because of the comfort and facilities. As both a foreigner and a woman, i felt safe and welcome here so i reccommend friends from abroad to come check this place out. Possibly the best youth hostel i've had the pleasure of staying in oh also the little cat is so cute !

The room is clean and tidy, with fresh fruit and yogurt every day. The waiter at 0782 is very warm and thoughtful. The transportation here is very convenient. There is also a snack street next to it at night, which is very lively.

Firstly, the hotel's location is excellent. There are plenty of dining options nearby, and it's not far from attractions like Yingtian Gate, easily accessible by shared bikes. Taxis are also very convenient, and the area is surprisingly quiet. Secondly, the room cleanliness was good, and disposable toilet seat covers were provided. The TV had screen mirroring capabilities, and the room size was adequate. The bedding was very comfortable, and latex pillows were also available. I was quite satisfied with all aspects. Moreover, due to a schedule change, I had initially booked two different rooms for two separate days. The front desk was very accommodating and allowed me to extend my stay in the original room type, saving me the hassle of moving rooms. This was very considerate. There was just one peculiar incident: on the first day, a grain of rice fell on me while I was sitting on the bed, and on the second day, another one fell on my face while I was lying down. I'm not sure if it fell from an umbrella or what, but it was very odd. They also offer printing services for documents and provided a small welcome gift. Overall, I would still recommend it. My only suggestion would be to upgrade the disposable slippers, as the quality provided is quite outdated.

Jiu Jian Fang was truly the first pleasant surprise of my Luoyang trip. Honestly, Luoyang itself exceeded all expectations, and Jiu Jian Fang really kicked off my summer vacation there on a wonderful note. 1. **Aesthetics:** My photos clearly show the immense dedication the owner poured into this guesthouse. All rooms are located on the second floor, and each features an expansive private courtyard with an outdoor table, offering a lovely spot for guests to relax and unwind. 2. **Location:** The affiliated temporary cafe is a fantastic photo spot, directly overlooking the Tiantang and Mingtang attractions from the second floor. On the other side, you'll find the Sui and Tang Dynasties City National Heritage Park – making it a one-stop destination for stunning photos and Instagram-worthy moments. 3. **Service:** Genuine sincerity is truly their secret weapon. I must say, the people of Luoyang are incredibly warm and hospitable! Every staff member at Jiu Jian Fang was proactive and enthusiastic in their service. It truly felt like this guesthouse not only offers guests a home away from home but also serves as a cherished home that every staff member is deeply dedicated to. A special mention goes to one particular lady whose meticulous care was evident from the moment I arrived until breakfast service. Though I don't know her name, I'm incredibly grateful to have experienced such warmth and kindness during my trip.
