Best Western Plus Residenzhotel Lueneburg

Beautiful and quiet hotel in green with free parking on the opposite street. Rooms are modern and clean, breakfast buffet in the small, home-owned restaurant/bar with good quality, although viewable at selection, yet sufficient. A smaller house of the number of guests, therefore no mass deal, which is a plus point.
Dormero Hotel Altes Kaufhaus Lüneburg

The room we received for the price of 170 euro was the most expensive AND smallest room on our trip. It included a leaning roof right over your bed, perfect to bang your head in. The room was extremely basic equipped. The breakfast in the morning was served at the price of 20 euro per person. No thanks. Having arrived back home we found out that our card hade been charged with 40 euro, despite not having had breakfast. We had a bad experience some years ago and thought we would give it a second chance New again, The worst place we have experienced.
B&B HOTEL Lüneburg

This was our second stay with this chain hotel. We knew to only expect the basics. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable, but the pillows were disgusting. So flat, ragged, and worn. The two panels of double glazed windows were effective, and we did not hear any noise from the railway line that we could see from our window. It was a freight line and had very few trains. The passenger line was located further from the hotel but still within walking distance. The old town was within walking distance, and it contained many eateries. We were able to get boiling water from the restaurant in the morning to make our own coffee in the room. We had our own mugs and provisions and bought bags of ice from the Shell gas station (10-minute drive). The hotel room only contains 2 extremely small paper cups, about the size you would use for mouthwash.
Bergström Hotel Lüneburg

We have visited Hotel Bergstrom many times since early 2000. We have always enjoyed the well maintained and well organized hotel. After this stay, not so much. I am aware of 2 years of COVID fatigue and staff shortage. However, when we make a reservation we expect full accessibility, our de luxe room could not be reached by us because it lacked elevator. We got a different room, all fine however, this room was located to the party street where nightlife ended 0230 and cleaning and transport started 0500 so much for the sleep. I am not overly fixed on clean rooms, however, please remove the obvious layers of dust- repair what is damaged. This makes the first impression so much better. Bathroom was first class. We are used to having the Marina cafe open all day- now limited to evening only, so sad. For breakfast only one waiter, should be more staff at hand, and please keep loud disagreements at the kitchen out of guests reach. Finally, for check out-more staff on work, to wait 15 min for check out is to long a wait. So there is work to be done if you are going to keep your 4 star rating.
Seminaris Hotel Lüneburg

Larger hotel with modern room facilities. All rooms are clean and well maintained and of sufficient size. The location of the house itself is slightly offset from the main street, where blue lights and sirens often pass by at night. Parking spaces in the parking garage at the hotel, subject to a charge and kept quite tight. The highlight of the house in the morning is the breakfast buffet, which is above average in both selection and quality and absolutely recommended!
Dormero Hotel Bargenturm Lüneburg

We spent one night in this hotel while passing through. It is very conveniently located, close to the old town. You can easily reach all the sights on foot. The lobby, corridors and rooms are very bright and give an ”airy” impression. So it is not your run-of-the-mill hotel block. We were obviously lucky and got a renovated room (208). The room was clean and large, as was the bathroom. There were enough storage spaces, which is not a given everywhere. However, you have to be very careful when you get out of the shower. Even with the door closed, half the bathroom is flooded and the tiles are very wet. I recommend an urgent repair here. The risk of injury is high. However, I don't know if this applies to all rooms. For breakfast, everything you needed was there, I was delighted with the bread that was still warm. There really was nothing missing. Unfortunately, the coffee was served from thermos flasks. I could see all the way to the floor in my full cup. A vending machine with various coffee specialties would be more contemporary here. The price-performance ratio is fair. The staff at the reception are very friendly. However, the breakfast employee seemed rushed and very annoyed. He can be forgiven, the hotel was full and he was solely responsible for all the work.
