I was at a function ordering the same drink for myself all evening and being charged varying amounts. £2.55/£4.15/£2.20/£0.80 all for a blackcurrant and lemonade. Firstly extortionate pricing for a simple drink and a bad example on the bar staff that clearly like to charge what they feel. Then to top it off being out in the car park and seeing the kitchen staff come out in their whites to sit and have a cigarette really tops of how unprofessional this place is.

AVOID THIS HOTEL! Classic room was dingy, student like accommodation. When I complained I was told it was of a ‘certain vintage’. Poor lighting, poor furniture and overpriced. Room not serviced properly both prior and during our stay. During breakfast a hole in the ceiling started dripping with rain water and we were left with a bucket beside us, no offer to move us. Customer Service follow up extremely poor and disappointing. Premier Inn provides a much higher standard. Nothing quaint about an old Scottish hotel that rips off their customers.

We had my sons wedding there on the 12/10/24 the meal was absolutely awful no one could eat the steak it was meant to be sirloin and it was full of fat and raw the chicken was so dry 2 of the guest had to go home early as they had become ill after eating the fish potatoes were cold and hard my son complained to the manager and has refused a refund for the 10 people who couldn’t eat there meal and charging £85 a head disgusting attitude the cheese board consisted of a side plant with a couple of oat cakes and a couple of crackers 3small pieces of cheese it spoilt the whole day they announced the buffet was out but the bride and groom were busy getting photos taken when they finished doing that they went to get something off the buffet but they had taken it all away and binned it all so we get couldn’t eat there meal and had no buffet they had nothing all day again spoke to the manager who basically said there is nothing he can do I am the mother of the groom and I will be taken this further if there is no refund

Attended my nieces wedding here on 12/ 10/ 24. She had booked her wedding from the previous owners when the hotel had a great reputation. We didn't stay there so can't comment on anything other than the ceremony and reception. The room where the reception took place was lovely, the function room for the meal was absolutely freezing . The meal itself was really bad with many many people returning their main courses to the kitchen and asking for something else. Whether a refund is forth owing remains to be seen. As stated this hotel has changed hands so please look at recent reviews before you choose.

Not very friendly. And food ok but very expensive for what we had. I had a haggis starter. 3 very small haggis balls, and I didn't see any sauce with sum lettuce and 1 baby tomatoes. It has a lovely restaurant but needs to buck up their meals. I make better food at home.

As far as I am concerned; nice location, and that is about it, Manger pretty ineffectual. Sunday lunch was good. it was a noisy room and was not serviced properly. Housekeepers room was next to mine and the door was banging. The manager said he would get them to stop banging the door and did not. The breakfast was lousy.

The Old Manor Hotel is Absolutely Wonderful. Reception Staff very nice and attentive to us all and especially housekeeping my room was spotless. Food was really good and nice staff. Hotel was clean and very warm welcoming rooms do need a little face lift but everything was perfect. Thanks to reception staff and housekeepers too.

Stayed here for 4 nights bed and breakfast to watch the women’s golf at St Andrews, the room was clean, very comfortable with amazing views. Bathroom looked as though it has been recently revamped which was very good quality. Breakfast was excellent with good choices and ordering at the table which we prefer. All the team were attentive and friendly. Would definitely return.
