I asked for a ground floor room due to handicap/mobility issues. When I checked in, the desk clerk said they didn't have any and put me on the third floor and additionally, that the elevator didn't work. I again told themI needed a ground floor do to handicap accessibility and I quote, "Well, sir, you don't look handicapped to me." This was a very inappropriate response as all handicapped people do not look handicapped. They weren’t apologetic and did absolutely nothing to help with the situation. Since we booked the room via *******, we had no choice but to remain there. Getting luggage up three flights of stairs and having to maneuver them multiple times a day in order to participate in the reason for being there made my stay very painful and unenjoyable. Anyone dealing with the public needs to take a serious customer service training course on how to deal with people, especially those with disabilities. We should have been notified, or the broken elevator should have been listed on the booking site. Completely disappointed with the entire experience.
