Hotel Vila do Val

I chose this hotel for a day gift card and we were three, I think it was a big hit. Since we arrived and until we left, the director and staff had only one goal: ”WILL WE WILL WE HAVE THE WORK THAT WE CAN Imagine”, the facilities, from the room to the dining room and the terrace are a past, and as I said of the Personnel from manager Maria, and the rest of staff (Claudia, Lupe, Federico and the cook) were only concerned that we were as good and well-cared as they could. The food was high, both in quality, quantity and service, and at very reasonable prices. From this point of view, I would like to recommend that anyone goes to that area, and at the same time, to reiterate my thanks to all of them, we were like in family.

The hotel is outside, but you can reach the center in 10 minutes walking by the seaside as the hotel has access. The breakfast is abundant and varied and the dining room is on the last spectacular plant. The day menu is €16. All perfect
Parador de Ribadeo

The hotel is very clean, with a very careful, friendly and serviced staff. The only thing that is regular is that the furniture has been a little old, the beds and cottons are not the most comfortable and some room smells a little tobacco... but it's a hotel that would recommend if you go to Ribadeo!

Well located within the city walls, a short walk to P. Santo Domingo underground car park where parking for 2 days cost me £10. The location is on pedestrianised street so it does require a short walk with luggage, The hotel is much what you would expect from a 4 star but our room badly needed repainting with black marks up the walls. I have stayed in better decorated 1 stars in Spain. Breakfast has a reasonable choice in the Galician style of being more humble that you often find in USA or UK. The receptionist missed several parts of her job in not giving details of meal times nor wifi code. There is a cafe on the terrace but with plastic blinds folded down, it was stuffy and unpleasant. On our floor the fire doors were wedged open with wooden wedges. Now whilst I know nothing about Spanish regulations, I know that fire doors that are open, do not act as fire doors.

Very central hotel. We found free parking in a lot just two minutes walk away. Our room was spacious with a view from the comfortable armchairs to the plaza below. Bed very comfortable. Little soundproofing...possibly difficult with an historic building? The glass shower door over the bath is not, in my opinion, safe and caused me to slip. Lots of space in the bathroom. I like the double sinks. A free bottle of water in the room, at this level of hotel, should be a given. To have to buy water from the minibar is a bit mean. Restaurant staff are lovely and very efficient. Food was excellent. Breakfast was disappointing as I was unaware that you can order hot dishes from the kitchen until we were leaving. It would be nice to be informed of this when seated. Reception very friendly and I enjoyed the welcome drink with our amigo card.
