"I stayed at the hotel to be close to a venue I needed to be the next day.
The hotel was clean and staff were available and friendly.
Free parking is available.
The hotel is very near a co op supermarket and petrol station. There is a pub restaurent next door the Squrriel which uses taste card. If you plan to eat there make a reservation and eat early.
The town is nearby but would be a bit of a walk and I didn't see any bus stops for local transport links. The town of Ludlow is only a few minutes and free parking available after 6 pm behind town square. Again could be a good idea to book a table if you need dinner.
This is a good Travelodge to stay at."

This stunning property is a self contained wing of a Georgian Town House once owned by the Earls of Shrewsbury. It has been recently renovated and the house retains many of its original features. Equipped with a mix of antique and modern furniture the house has charm and comfort. On the ground floor there is an entrance hall, a large sitting room with piano, an oak panelled dining room with circular table, and a fully-equipped kitchen with slim dishwasher. On the first floor there are two formal and spacious bedrooms, one king and one twin, which share a bathroom (with shower). On the second floor, only accessed via a steep and narrow staircase (not suitable for the elderly), there is a ‘walk through’ twin room, and another double bedroom with an ensuite with a free standing bath. The house is perfect for 6 guests, and although there are beds for 8 guests, it is a bit ‘tight’. The 4th bedroom (a twin) simply has a curtain between it and the stairs, so it is not completely private. See the photos! There are beautiful high ceilings and panelled rooms throughout, and you will be warm and cosy, with the use of two gas fires in addition to full central heating. Sumptuous bed linen and towels are provided in all rooms. We have a good friend who is a cook, who is happy to cater for guests, either during the evening, or by leaving a prepared meal ready for you. Just heaven, if you are arriving late, or if you cannot get booked into one of Ludlow's fabulous restaurants. Details on request. You will have exclusive use of the whole house which consists of hall, kitchen, dining room, sitting room and 2 bedrooms and a shower room on the first floor. The 2nd floor has 2 additional bedrooms and a bathroom. There is an entrance hallway shared with one other property belonging to us, and it is a great place for wellies, coats, bikes etc.To gain access to the double ensuite bedroom on the second floor you must go up the stairs THROUGH THE TWIN ROOM which can be curtained off - please see the photographsAbout pets:Pets allowed: limit 1 total. One well behaved dog..About checkOut:Check out before 10:00 AM.About children:Children allowed: ages 0-17.About checkIn:Check in after 4:00 PM.About smoking:Smoking is not permitted.About minBookingAge:Minimum age to rent: 30.About events:No events allowed.
Recently renovated, this is a spacious three bedroom house in the centre of Ludlow. Comprising of 2 double bedrooms, 1 with ensuite, and a twin room with a family bathroom, plus a useful cloakroom on the ground floor, 2 sitting rooms, (one with a double sofa bed) and the other with a fabulous gas stove making a super warm 'snug'. Large kitchen/dining room and a fully equipped utility room too. There is also a shared porch ideal for storing bikes or a pram. The spaceWell behaved pets are very welcome (please let us know if you are bringing one as there is a small additional charge). Unfortunately there is no outside space for them at the house. However, there are lots of green spaces; the river and the Castle are within 2 mins walk.About pets:Pets allowed. One well behaved pet is allowed..About checkOut:Check out before 10:00 AM.About children:Children allowed: ages 0-17.About checkIn:Check in after 4:00 PM.About smoking:Smoking is not permitted.About events:No events allowed.

Very Good
MMeg6366This is a lovely place, we stayed in the ‘cottage’ which was more like an annexe building and it had two rooms of which we occupied one. The room was good, we enjoyed breakfast in the dining room and the breakfast menu had a lot of choice too which was great. There were options for a full English style breakfast, but also options for cereals and fruits etc. We decided to try dinner at the hotel one evening and we were extremely happy with our choice. The food was excellent quality and very enjoyable. The hotel is a short walk into the centre, very close to the castle which is worth a visit and you can see the castle from the road you walk on from the hotel to the city.
GGuest UserThe Feathers is well located in the centre of Ludlow and is an old building that is full of charm. However, this also means that it is a bit of a rabbit warren inside, making it challenging to find your way around the long, branching corridors - a definite nightmare in event of a fire.
The carpark was full when we arrived, despite it being much larger than I expected, but there was a council carpark behind the hotel and only a short walk away, which was free from 6pm to 8am, which is very convenient.
Our bed was large, clean and comfortable and the room was well resourced: tea and coffee making facilities with a wide range of teas and milks; complimentary canned water in the mini fridge; iron and ironing board; plenty of sockets including USB, at the bedside and a variety of products in the bathroom, though no toothpaste which was the one thing we'd forgotten to pack! One of the spoons was dirty, hence only 4 stars for cleanliness. The guest wifi was strong and easy to access.
We didn't have time to use the reception areas downstairs, but they looked beautifully presented and were full of character, offering a very attractive space to have a drink or meal.
Staff at reception were pleasant and professional.
