Nader's Motel & Suites

While at this facility, children we were with ages 12, asked how to play a game on site were told by the owner that a game they were playing was "common sense" and walked away instead of providing instructions. A parent approached (sitting at a picnic table) about 30 feet away after seeing an adult taking to the children, adult asked what the kids needed, his response was very rude, "parental supervision". If you advertise as family friendly, and have games on site for guests, assume they may use them. This was awful customer services. Price gouging for an event and then treating guest poorly will not provide return customers.

This was our first time staying here. Great location and the room was very clean. Having a kitchenette was nice, although it could have used more utensils and some glassware - there were no drinking glasses or real coffee mugs (paper only). Bathroom did not have a sink in it, so you had to brush your teeth and wash up in the kitchenette. We found the woman working in the office to be very rude. It felt like we were bothering her when we checked in and out. My parents were with us and had their own room. We could not figure out how to turn the heat on in their room, so my mom had to go ask her for help. She was completely irritated that she had to walk over to their room, but then she even had to call someone to figure it out. Not sure I would stay here again.

Do not stay at Nader's Motel & Suites. We have been here since Sunday and the experience has not been pleasant. It has actually been the worst of all of our hotel stays. When we arrived the bathroom was dirty, smelled of dog urine and actually had dog urine and black mold in the bathroom. Wi-fi is slow. In addition, the room service they promise does not take place. You have to be out of your room by 9am or 10am each day to even get towels and daily essentials restocked in your room. The owner and staff on-site are not customer service oriented and could actually care less whether or not you enjoy your stay. Thankfully they do offer a clean bed upon arrival but you will not have your sheets changed, trash tended to, or floors tended to your entire stay. The motel is right off the beach so you will have sandy floors your entire stay. Oh and there's no refund if you decide to leave due to their cancelation policy so you'll be stuck unless you can afford to pay for your reservation at Nadar's and at a new hotel. Thankfully Ludington is beautiful and has so much to do that you're only in your hotel to sleep and get ready each morning so we survived this awful stay but never again and I will be sure that everyone knows to stay elsewhere.

We had a great time on our grand daughters outing, we will be Horseback ready swimming in the pool at the restaurant and enjoying all the facilities here the room was excellent and had lots of room for us to enjoy thanks to Heather at the front desk

We have to agree with the negative reviews we have read. We booked for 4 nights , but we’re only able to stay for 3. Having said this we still paid well over $400.00. And we might mention we have stayed her before and so we were returning customers. They would not give us a refund for the last night. In fact we would have a paid a nominal fee for cancellation of our last night if offered. They have proven themselves to be greedy and not representative of the great state of Michigan. In fact Pam was rude, if that was in fact her name. She then had the audacity to ask us if we were going to stay even though there would be no refund forthcoming simply for the convenience of their housekeeping staff. Do not stay here. There are too many alternatives. Read the reviews.

Nader’s is listed as pet-friendly on Travelocity/Expedia, and I made reservations via Travelocity on Friday 8/11 at 9pm for the following weekend's Suds on the Shore event. The next morning I read the confirmation email, which said to call in advance if you are bringing pets. So, I called and they said they do not have any more pet friendly rooms so I would have to cancel. Seemed like no big deal, right? I cancelled. BUT THEY KEPT $288! FOR NOTHING! THEY WON'T ISSUE A REFUND FOR A RESERVATION THAT WAS CANCELLED by the next morning? Absolutely unconscionable! This was a full week ahead of the scheduled stay. I DID NOT STAY THERE. Why did they keep my $288!!!!!!????? I've never been there. THEY REPEATEDLY HUNG UP THE PHONE ON THE TRAVELOCITY/EXPEDIA AGENT WHO CALLED THEM ON MY BEHALF. WHAT KIND OF UNPROFESSIONAL PLACE DOES THAT? 

After multiple attempts Travelocity contacted me apologizing, but said Nader’s refuses to issue a refund, so I’m out of luck. I’m just baffled at how very mean Nader's are being. I don't have $288 to waste and I have to find another hotel. Apparently, this is just a regular business practice for them because you see other reviews just like mine. Management will reply to such reviews with something like, "well, you used a third party website to book" as if that's such a crazy thing to do. It's simply an unfair business practice that needs to be reported as such. Shame on them. Anytime someone can make a reservation, even by mistake, and then cancel it immediately, yet still be charged an outrageous sum, that's unjustified greed and total lack of concern for their reputation.
