Ibis Chartres Ouest Lucé

Already a bit older. Stains on the walls and carpet. Breakfast was slow in refills and quality was worse than in other standard Ibis Hotels.

The staff were extremely friendly and the breakfast simple but adequate with something for everyone. The hotel is very tired and shabby. Secure night time parking was a bonus!

3rd time a problem re restaurant availability We have used this hotel twice a year since approx 2016 travelling home from our holiday. Staff have always been good but this is 3rd time we've been badly let down by them. Our stopover at this hotel is after a 400+ miles journey. 1st time - their kitchen was being renovated. 2nd time - we found out their kitchen is only open Mon to Thur (May - Oct). So we changed our o/night stop to Thur instead of a Fri. On this 3rd stay, the restaurant was not in use as it was a Bank Holiday in France! Bank Holidays in the UK doesn't stop hotels from serving their guests. Also, this is the second time that they have not honoured the Silver Member offer of 1 free beverage. This has been the only hotel that I have had a problem with regarding this offer. Issues - 1st time the restaurant was closed we had to go to the supermarket to buy food and drink to eat in the room. 2nd and 3rd time we had to go and buy a pizza to eat in the room. The pizza place even remembered us from the last time! The supermarket was also closed. At no time was there any information shared or message sent by the hotel to advise that the kitchen would be closed on any of the occasions. After 400+ miles drive the last thing we want to do is have to go out to find somewhere that we can have a meal or buy some food. Our drive home involves another o/night stop. Sadly, we will be avoiding our o/night stop at this hotel and I will have to look for other options for the future.

GOOD VALUE BUT COULD HAVE BOOKED CHEAPER BY GOING DIRECT TO THE HOTEL. STAFF EXCELLENT

Very nice place to stay, room nice but as usual Aircon not working only blowing hot air.The units should be serviced and made to work as it can get very hot in the rooms and you dare not open the window as mosquitos are in the room immediately. The restaurant was closed in the evening with no reasons given.
