What a wonderful B&B! My wife and I stayed five nights. The room was comfortable, clean and characterful. While unassuming from the outside, the house itself is a treat - breakfast is served on an enclosed terrace overlooking a lovely large private garden filled with colorful flowers and fruite trees. The breakfasts were bountiful and delicious. The hostess, Giovanna, is welcoming and very helpful - she got us reservations at a restaurant which was "totally booked" for weeks in advance. The location is nearby to the train station (making day-trips and connections easy) and perhaps a five minute walk from the city walls and gate into the old town. An excellent value and a place to which we will return if ever we are back in Lucca.

Very good location within three minutes of the walls and with parking. Comfortable, nice owner and excellent breakfast. Well worth a visit and excellent value. A tip. The owner will send directions which are accurate but you need to know that the BandB is the last house on the left and the parking is just past the building. Easy to miss as the sign is very small.

Great B&B. Beautiful bedding and towels. Owners made breakfast special with different little fruits and local breads every day. Our room had a balcony which was great to be able to sit out on after coming back from a day’s sightseeing. The owners make you feel very welcome and nothing is too much bother even when I asked for very hot water for my tea. If you are looking for somewhere with a family feel I would definitely recommend Al Porto Di Lucca and also very handy for train station and a short walk over railway bridge gets you access into Lucca itself.

An absolutely wonderful place to stay while visiting Lucca. From the moment you arrive, you are in an oasis of calm and the welcome is so friendly. We stayed for 8 nights and would stay again. The house is beautiful and very interesting, and the hosts are gracious and make the stay perfect for all their guests. Breakfast is always outstanding, and every day there was a little surprise or a local specialty. It is quiet and relaxing to stay here. Seeing the garden in the morning under a perfectly blue Tuscan sky was inspirational. The rooms are spotlessly clean, and the beds are comfortable. The walk-in shower is excellent, and there was plenty of storage for a longer stay. The owners and their staff work well together to provide a wonderful experience. They have many tips to make the most of your visit to the area. This is why we love Italy and its people so much. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We spent four lovely nights at Al Porto di Lucca B & B, an historic, elegant, and rustic Tuscan Home. Giovanna and Francesco provide 5 Star excellent and personalized service and a tasty breakfast is included. Our cousins Angelo and Gabriella from Livorno visited us, and Giovanna kindly volunteered a special impromptu late-afternoon café and dessert. .

We loved our stay at this cute house just outside the walls. We had a car, and needed to be outside the walls and have parking. But I'd stay here even if we didn't. The room was spacious and comfortable, the hosts were wonderful, and the location was great for walking into Lucca. Breakfast was lovely, served in the very pretty veranda. My husband gets up early, so he spent time in the library area while I was still sleeping, and they were nice enough to bring him a cappuccino each morning before breakfast time.

Our 3rd stay and probably our last.We booked a room with parking back October 2023,but when we tried to park the car out came the owner rushing to tell me we cannot park there we have not booked a spot! I reversed out of the space and he pointed to a free parking area over the road,so I just moved the car.We were shown to our room where I was able to access my e-mails and there was the proof that we had booked a room with parking.When confronted the owner failed to apologise or acknowledged his error.I forced him to apologise as I will not take arrogance of that nature from anyone.The rooms was great and the breakfast was as usual superb,but the owners attitude killed it for us
