Great stay in the perfect location for a week in the heart of Lucca. Beautiful characterful palazzo building. Marta and Ingrid are friendly and helpful hosts while remaining unobtrusive. Breakfast is very good Italian fare - just don't expect a hot cooked breakfast in the Irish or British style. Our room and bathroom were grand, with a very comfortable bed and good shower. No noise problem whatsoever. All in all a great experience at a very reasonable price.

We have just returned home following a wonderful week spent in Palazzo Busdraghi and wishing we were still there. Marta and Ingrid were delightful and superb hosts - nothing too much trouble. Rooms immaculate, breakfasts delicious, perfect location for discovering Lucca which did not disappoint. We would happily return tomorrow.

Charming apartment right in the centre of town. Because it is so central, it can be noisy, but they considerately left earplugs in the bedroom. The electrics were a bit of a challenge as the building is so old, the plug sockets didn't match our european adapters, but there were 2 converters that we could use. The other thing to mention is the steps to the front door and the fact that reception is about 200 yards away in another building. This is not suitable for people with a disability or mobility issues, we struggled to get the bags up the steep stairs. But the cost and location were really good.

Great place to stay The lady on reception was most amazing . Gave us the friendliest welcome I have ever received . Always smiling and offering to help and advise . The room was spacious , comfy and spotless . The breakfast was super , and the service top notch . The location was brilliant , just off the amphitheatre close to shops restaurants and bars I would most definitely recommend

Central location on a main, pedestrian-only street. Charming old building, full of character and nicely furnished. Marta and Ingrid were very welcoming, kind and helpful hosts. Breakfast was superb, lots of tasty things to choose from, and they went the extra mile to provide an individual requirement. Would definitely stay again.

We had a wonderful 4-night stay at Palazzo Busdraghi. Our hosts, Marta and Ingrid, spoke very good English and were very kind. Marta even asked us if we would like breakfast to be served earlier than 8 am, and they started serving it at 7:30 at our request. The room was lovely and very comfortable - bed, shower, etc. And ours had a couch, which I loved. Breakfast was delicious, including little cups of yogurt with fresh strawberries and honey a couple of mornings. The location is great - cafes and restaurants just a few steps away. It's a bit of a walk from the train station, since it's on the opposite end of the walled city, but it only took about 15 minutes. There was a little late-night noise from the street, but pretty minor. We also heard lovely strains of music playing from a music school very nearby where students must have been practicing - a lovely bonus.

Hotel is in a great location. Beautiful old building entered via a courtyard. Lovely room, yummy breakfast and an amazing host Marta who was so gracious, kind and helpful. She gave great recommendations and provided early breakfast as I had to leave before scheduled breakfast time
