This place was surprisingly nice in a really cool town that wasn't really on my radar. It's a short distance to the sights and some really good restaurants. It was a little challenging to check-in since the street doesn't have parking and it's hard to find, but ring the bell or connect earlier with the owner and it'll be smooth I'm sure. The parking on site was nice because it's protected from the street, but like all of Europe, pricey. There is also a breakfast option, but didn't spend the money to find out the quality. Rooms are of a really good size, great air conditioner, and bed is comfortable.

Отличный отель. От вокзала минут 20 идти. Нашла отель по навигатору, вывесок нет, так что имейте ввиду. Только табличка на доме. Кровать огромная и удобная. Вода в душевой с хорошим напором. Убирались каждый день. Завтраки как и везде: отварные яйца, овощи, сыр, йогурты, булочки и прочее; американо и капучино есть. Очень приятные женщины работают. Убрали мою еду в холодильник, когда я гуляла))) угостили также пивом бесплатно.
Тихо, никого не слышно, хоть на углу вечером бары открыты)
Кондиционер немного шумный, но это мне не мешало.

This was a pleasant place for us. It is not at all elegant, and the stairwell to the rooms showed its age, but our room was comfortable, nicely appointed, and very clean. The bed was comfortable and the pillows very nice. Our room was in a second location a few meters down the street from the main entrance. The breakfast was pleasant. We plan to return and to stay in the same place. The parking behind the hotel was a nice plus.

We reserved a room that was on the second floor (in other words, the 3rd floor). We were hoping for a ground floor, but we were advised that was not available. However, we were moved to anothe location, with minimum stairs. We were very grateful!

Loved this spot in Lucca. Comfy bed, updated bathroom and lovely breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful. I was able to store my bag after check-out time which gave me more time to explore Lucca. Would definitely stay here again.

I so thoroughly enjoyed my stay at La Gemma di Elena! It is a lovely property situated near the city center- walking distance to everything you might want to see. Around the corner from the Piazza del Anfiteatro.
The property appears to have been someone's flat at one point- and is now divided into several guest rooms and a large entry room where a tasty breakfast is served every morning.
The room was well appointed- complete with a mobile air conditioning unit which was key in late August this year! It was the best night of sleep that I experienced my entire two weeks in Italy! The staff were very kind- and I believe it was one of the owners that carried my luggage downstairs for me when I was leaving.
Highly recommend this little gem if you are traveling to beautiful Lucca! :)
