Hotel Villa Rinascimento

Villa Rinascimento holds an incredibly special place in our hearts. We married here 16 years ago and visiting again with our three children (ages 9, 12, and 13) was nothing short of magical. We stayed in a family room on the top floor, and the beauty was breathtaking. The rooms maintain their traditional character with such authentic charm, you can truly feel the rich history of this amazing villa in every detail. The preservation of the historical elements while providing modern comfort is great. The views from Villa Rinascimento are stunning. But for the truly adventurous, take the hike up the mountain (Monte Moriglione di Penna) using the path directly behind the villa, the panoramic views of the area from up there are even more spectacular and absolutely worth the effort. This villa serves as the perfect launching point for exploring all that Tuscany has to offer. The location couldn't be more ideal for day trips and regional exploration. The property itself is a paradise. The beautiful pool provides the perfect respite after a day of sightseeing, and the grounds are absolutely gorgeous. Walking among the fruit trees and olive trees feels like stepping into a Tuscan dream. Every corner of the property is simply stunning. From our wedding day in 2009 to this recent family vacation, Villa Rinascimento continues to exceed expectations. It's rare to find a place that combines such historical significance, natural beauty, and genuine hospitality. Our children were enchanted by the property, and we can't wait to visit again!

Another great stay here at VR. This time we stayed even longer than 3 years ago, and it was just lovely. The place is kept in tip-top shape and the staff is wonderful! Been coming here for over 30 years now. It's considered a second home!

Been coming here for almost 30 years, on and off. And it's always been a treat! Staff is nice and the food (we had breakfast and lunch) is good. Over the years we have stayed both in the dependences and in the main building. Never had a bad room! They each have their own charm. The buildings and surrounding area has been tastefully upgraded over the years, and it's nice to see something that I accidentally discovered in my youth, still being maintained so nicely. Highly recommending this little gem for true and authentic Tuscan vibes!

The hotel building is beautiful. We stayed in a quad room in the main building. It's a very quirky building as you would expect from it's age and has a labyrinth of corridors which brings all sorts of treasure from the terrace on the first floor to the library and generally a lovely feel. The shower does indeed run cold as mentioned by several reviews but you just need to be patient. It takes a couple of mins to warm up and then all is good. Very hot and powerful shower The staff were all very friendly and gave lots of information about Pisa and Lucca including where to park. The location is beautiful surrounded by amazing views. There are several restaurants in the local village and a shop and bakery The pool is gorgeous although be warned a little on the chilly side but fine once you get in. Lots of loungers and no issues in finding one whenever we went. We had a drink each evening on the terrace which was fab and breakfast there as well The breakfast was good. Lots of choice. We are in the restaurant on one evening and the food and service were fabulous. We had a lovely time and would definitely return. Due to the age of this building and the nature of it, please don't expect 5 star modern fitting and fixtures but you won't be disappointed with what is here.

Liked the unique location and peace and quiet in the area. Great pool friendly staff Didnt like: the door of the room did not close 100% even when locked. Room between door and doorframe.

We stayed in Villa Rinascimento for 4 days, it was our third visit. The house is gorgeous, a very old building and the loggia is like something out of Romeo and Juliet - you can look out at the beautiful landscape and sit and read and relax. Lucca is stunning and only a 15 min drive from the hotel but it feels like being in the middle of the countryside - calm and pretty and for example, you can do a 3 -4 hour walk into the hillside and woods from the hotel. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the food was lovely. Bedroom very clean. There is a swimming pool that opens later in the season. No complaints at all and would highly recommend for couples and for families!
