Hotel Stadt Luebeck

My review of room #53, which I stayed at in August 2022 - Stained, threadbare carpet - Strong smell of smoke - Personally, I could not sleep with window open as there was lots of noise. This included non stop talking & shouting from people directly outside the window; quite an uncomfortable feeling when on the ground floor. When the window was shut, however, it was very good at noise cancelling (Wanted the window open as it was VERY hot - note visit was August '22) - Curtain covered just 3 quarters of the window, meaning I had to decide which 3 quarters I wanted it to cover (Important when there are members of the general public hanging around directly outside the window) - Receptionist seemed reluctant and annoyed to swap my euro notes to change for the parking meter, perhaps I was wrong but it felt like it. - Bathroom was nice, but very small (I'd take a guess at about 4 square meters) - Overall very outdated and, in my opinion, bad value for money compared to other hotels around £70 / 80 euros budget. Perhaps the other rooms at the hotel are better, however I only stayed in room #53 Just my honest observations...
