We had the pleasure of staying at this charming small hotel, and it was an unforgettable experience. With only seven rooms, it offers an intimate and personalized stay that larger hotels simply can’t match. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was outstanding. The staff (Monika) went above and beyond making us feel truly welcomed and cared for. The service was warm, attentive, and genuine - something that made our stay extra special. The room is beautifully designed, reflecting the hotel’s commitment to quality and comfort. Breakfast was simple yet lovely, featuring fresh, high-quality ingredients that made for a perfect start to the day. This was my second stay in this wonderful hotel. The room was extremely comfortable during two cold winter days. The honor bar with teas and a selection of drinks and snacks was delightful, as was the well-appointed library in which it was located. Staying at Die Reederin was like being a guest in the home of a friend that loves to entertain. I will also note that we had a few special needs, and the hotel could not have been more helpful and accommodating. I am hoping to return again!

Lovely, modern, slightly quirky hotel in an old historic building. The owner (s) was very attentive and the service is quite personal. It feels a little bit more like you’re a guest in someone’s home, but that adds to the charm. We had a lovely big, unusual room on the second floor. The bed was very comfortable with very nice bed linen. There was a room next to it with kettle, coffee machine and honesty bar. The hotel is located 10 minutes walk from the town centre, and we could see the river from our window. Breakfast was wonderful, with home baked breads, and other treats. Eggs were cooked to order, and they make “proper” coffee! Personally I was a little bit disappointed in Lübeck, but I couldn’t fault where I stayed.

Visited with my wife in April. The hotel is located very close to the city centre and is very newly opened so everything is in good condition. The rooms are ok size and the bed was very comfortable. Owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is served at the table and the choices are limited but enough for our needs.

Die Reederin is a new hotel located in the beautiful Lubeck. The rooms are very confortable and clean, the location is amazing but the best part of this hotel was the service and its friendly staff. The experience was amazing thanks to Nina and her team. Will definitely come back.

This relatively new hotel is located in the old city about a block from the riverfront and a brief walk from many wonderful restaurants, museums and attractions. It is a beautiful and charming property. The public spaces and rooms are airy and simply decorated with Hanseatic flair. My room had a view out over the rooftops. When I checked in, Nina provided me with a few ideas of how to spend my day, all of which were extremely helpful. There was a carafe of water and a bonbon in my room each evening. Breakfast was ample and delicious. I had an early train on my departure day, and the hotel ensured that I had breakfast and arranged a taxi. I will definitely be returning!

We found Hotel Die Reederin online, and hoped that the description was accurate. It was, and more than that, the proprietor of this lovely Inn, or bed and breakfast, made our stay a memorable one. She was kind and helpful from the moment we expressed an interest in staying at the hotel, and once we arrived, she treated us as her personal guests. Her recommendations for what to see and do and for restaurants were spot on. She arranged our tickets to the Hanseatic Museum (a must-see just minutes from the Hotel), and marked a map of the old town with the must-see highlights. Oh, and the breakfasts! Delicious, fresh, brought to the table. The room was large, well-appointed, and the historic building is fun to explore. Finally, she even directed us to the sights for a brief tour of Hamburg when we left Lübeck. If you’re headed to Lübeck and would like a special experience, try Hotel Die Reederin.

Für nur zwei Nächte gebucht und wir sind mehr als positiv überrascht. Das alte Kontor einer Reederei wurde liebevoll zu einem Hotel umgebaut. Dabei wurden die alten Einrichtungsgegenstände "wiederbelebt". Die Inneneinrichtung ist z.T. recht originell aber nie kitschig - eher skandinavisch reduziert auf das Wesentliche und gleichzeitig wirkt alles beruhigend. Das fängt von der Hintergrundmusik an bis zu dem, dass keine Lampe plötzlich voll ausleuchtet, sondern das Licht sich erst langsam entfaltet. Die verwendeten Stoffe, die Armaturen, die Möbel - alles hochwertig und eher natürlich. Z.B. sind die Betten mit Leinenstoff bezogen. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich und man spürte der Cheffin ihr Herzblut für das Haus an. Jede Umsetzung wohl überlegt und mit viel Sinn. Begrüßungstrink, Einführung - alles sehr persönlich. Es gab auch Tipps über das Kulturgeschehen in der Stadt oder über Restaurants die was taugen. Frühstück reichlich, mit Bedienung zum Tisch. Selbst gebackene Brötchen und Brot - Konfitüre von der Mama. Wurst, Käse (was für ein Käse!) - auf Wunsch Ei. Reichliche Teeauswahl und natürlich gibts auch Kaffee. Und dann schläft man mitten in der City - völlig ruhig. Das Auto kann bequem in einem Parkhaus - ca. 200m vom Hotell entfernt geparkt werden. Irgendwie wird man beim Eintritt in das Hotel entschleunigt. Lieber die gemütliche Leseecke nutzen und die Nachrichten außen vor lassen...
