Laos is not a rich country, but luxury hotels seem to be particularly fond of this country, especially Luang Prabang. Among them is Amantaka, which is a must-visit for Aman enthusiasts.
During my half month in Laos, I experienced all the good hotels in this country. As expected, Amantaka is the best. The noble experience begins when the front office manager personally drives to the previous hotel to pick you up. The appearance of every customer service person in the entire hotel seems to be strictly controlled. They are all pure and peaceful, so that wherever you walk in the hotel and meet the staff, you will see the pure and kind smiling faces, which will calm your heart. ,slow down. Although the hotel is located in the center of the city, it is quiet amidst the hustle and bustle. The hotel provides free shuttle tutu service to facilitate guests to explore the ancient city; it also thoughtfully provides free afternoon tea and laundry services. After swimming, you can use the steam and sauna rooms, and the facilities are well equipped. Monks will pass by the hotel entrance, and the hotel will provide free supplies and sticky rice to guests who want to experience alms. The hotel also gives guests woven bags and hats as souvenirs. It was an unforgettable and perfect experience in Amman Targah, and I hope to come back next time for a sunset cruise.

The hotel is located in the middle alley between the Main Street Road and the Mekong River Road, but there are few cars and it is relatively quiet.
It is very close to the main attractions of Long Po Bang and can be reached within 10 minutes on foot.
Early in the morning, almsgiving starts from Xiang Thong Temple along the main street and turns into the alley next to the hotel.
Then pass from the front of the hotel to the back door of Xiangtong Temple, forming a small loop.
This time I booked a balcony room. It was very comfortable to have tables and chairs on the balcony and watch the alley. Unfortunately, the room facilities were average.
Breakfast consists of two types of bread: croissant and chocolate roll, plus two types of fruits: banana and orange.
Provide brewed coffee or tea so that you won’t be hungry for breakfast, but it won’t be too rich and delicious.

Friendly and welcoming staff at reception. Good English spoken. The bikes are great as the hotel is quite a distance from the main area. There are a few nice places walkable distance and it is walkable but if you did it multiple times it’d be tiring. Lao Airlines hotel so you can check in for your flight at the hotel. Rooms are a good size and beds comfortable. Nice pool and quiet, peaceful environment. Kettle in room with tea and coffee.
Rooms seem worn and could do with a refresh, especially the bathroom. Air conditioning is needs updating as it struggles to cool the room. Only one plug socket by the side of the bed. Lots of small flys in my room which should have been cleaned/removed before I checked in. Likely due to low season so less people/cleaning less often. I went out in the morning and hung “please clean room” on my door but when I came back 6 hours later nothing had happened. They didn’t clean my room, change towels etc through my stay.
Neighbouring hotels have shuttle service. This would really improve the hotel.
Overall, it was ok for two days but probably wouldn’t go back unless it was modernised.

Not much to say, which is rather positive. As advertised. The location was convenient without being crowded. The hotel itself was charming and relaxing. The restaurant offered a good mix of options with a wide range of affordable local dishes and some western alternatives. Both were good choices. The cleaning staff were efficient. And the service was great. There was always someone available to help, happily. The spa was surprisingly cheap for an in-house spa, but still maintained standards across the board. The shuttle, which never required any waiting time, was useful. I guess there was a bit to say, all positive. Would comfortably recommend.

This is my second visit after visiting with my family about a month ago. I remembered the warm experience I had at this hotel last time, so I came back again. There must be many guests coming in and out of the hotel, and I was touched that everyone I met recognized me and said “Welcome back.” I am very grateful to Yong, Lith, Muhn, Mone, and the two female hoteliers who were in charge of dinner on 5/25 for their hospitality. (I should have asked everyone's names, but it's too bad I didn't.) And the information about becoming a monk during the morning Takbat. I am also sincerely grateful to the male hotelier who kindly and in detail explained about the Ina Lao people. I think I will visit Laos again on my last trip before returning to my home country because of the warm memories I had in Avani. I look forward to seeing you again.

Pure luxury for Laos, near to many cafes, pubs eateries, bakeries, walk to the monk event, many temples and beautiful Buddha statues around. Quiet, very clean, large bathroom, balcony where I stayed on the second floor. Very comfortable bed, friendly staff.
Booked this after we got chased out by a nasty
Air bnb place called ZUNA. They wanted us out for a lovers tiff before 10pm saying we were too loud. The family lives right next door and you van hear everything, their walls are paper thin, dangerous toilet bowl on a platform in a tiny bathroom.
CCTV from the outside shoots into our room, illegal.
Pay a little more and get a great comfortable stay instead of being chased out when you are a payong guest.
The stay was overall very good, except for one detail, the owner has 2 hotels, so instead of staying in the booked hotel, we were told to stay at the Amata guest house, which is kinda in front of it, but still we were a little bit surprised by the decision.

Environment: The exterior is very beautiful
Service: The staff is welcoming and provides iced drinks and wet towels during check-in and waiting, which is very thoughtful
Facilities: The room has all the functions it should have. Some design flaws. The bathroom is separated into dry and wet areas. The door of the bathroom pushes the floor towel to the side. The longer it is pushed, the farther it is. Even long legs can't reach the floor towel. You can only come out barefoot. The water in the bathroom drains very slowly. There is water accumulation. The hot water supply is not sufficient.

📍Service
When you arrive at the hotel, the manager will come and help you with your luggage and guide you to your room. Overall, they are friendly and accommodating to requests.
📍Amenities
They provide a shuttle service to downtown, so be sure to use it! It's really convenient.
I didn't use the swimming pool separately, but it's a good size for families or couples to go in and play.
📍Breakfast
You can eat your fill with a simple buffet + one noodle meal to order. The menu doesn't have a huge number of items, but it's generally clean and of good quality, so be sure to try the dessert.

Everything was just like in the pictures. Super nice decoration. The room and its balcony were quite big. The taste of their breakfast was very nice, literally - only American breakfast's available, tho. Free bicycle ride. It's located in a quiet area, which is good. It's close to the aiming area (with Wat Sensoukharam scene on the back) but a bit far from the night/morning market, FYI. Unfortunately, there was a construction in front of the hotel so it was noisy during the day.

Outstanding
GGuest UserWhat a find! Away from the main street although easily walkable to the night market and bars and restaurants.
Carefully prepared breakfasts which we both enjoyed.
Rooms are large and individually decorated, cleaned daily. Really loved the beautiful decor.
Service was excellent. Any query was answered fully and suggestions for activities and restaurants given if and when required.
There was a lovely pool area with beds and chairs too.
All in all I would thoroughly recommend this boutique hotel for families or couples.

TTilong VangWe liked - location, breakfast, bed and pillows very comfortable, staff amazing , complimentary mini bar, free bikes, free shuttle to anywhere in town , fast wifi. Beautiful setting and deco. Toun , the lady at the reception was amazing !!
We didn’t like - bad sewer smell in the room, window in toilet has no glass so sound from the street , especially in the morning is quite annoying. Prices of some services are way too high : airport transfer 400,000 Kip vs 120,000 for a loca.

GGuest UserThe room is on the second floor and you have to walk up the stairs to move the luggage. The hotel helped to call a 7-seater car to the train station for 30w, which seems to be more cost-effective than a minivan. The front desk can communicate in English, but there is no Chinese staff. The hotel room is small, the air conditioner blows towards the face on the bed, the toilet lid moves, and the hair dryer is fixed with a screw. When asked, the worker didn't come even though it was reported.
Advantages: It is very comfortable to sit on the balcony, it is very close to the night market, and you can see Bushi when you go out. The Laotian hot pot next to the hotel is delicious and cost-effective, but I can't speak English. The hotel has rice for breakfast, and it is also very convenient to order takeout.

GGuest UserLaotians are very welcoming, but the comfort level of hotels in classical scenic spots is still not comparable to that of high-rise buildings in China. I can only find fun in culture and feelings. In this aspect, I am willing to give Luang Prabang full marks.

Very Good
常常1. The location of the hotel is very good, very close to Xiangtong Temple and about one kilometer away from the Palace Museum, which is very convenient. It is also a few minutes away to see the donation in the morning.
2. The hotel service is very good, and the breakfast is also very delicious.
problem:
1. The room is relatively small, and it's ok to live alone, but it feels crowded if two people live;
2. There are too few sockets, especially if there is no socket near the bedside table, it is very inconvenient to charge the mobile phone. There are no sockets in the bathroom.
3. There are often small yellow ants on the small table above the refrigerator in the room. When using a laptop, there are often ants crawling on the screen, and they have been spotted several times on the table under the bathroom mirror. Even back to the Vientiane Hotel, there was an ant on the laptop.
Suggestion: Eliminate the ants in the room.

梅梅星The free breakfast was very delicious.
And I was grateful for the bathtub.
It was cold so I was able to warm up.
It's rare to find a room with a bathtub at this price. It's the best!
Unfortunately, I stayed for 3 nights and there was no bed making or cleaning. When I asked, they only took out the trash and replenished the water and tissues. I wish they had cleaned it properly.
Also, the mold in the bathroom was terrible, which was hard for someone with asthma.
The smell of sewage was extremely bad for the first two days.
I was originally scheduled to stay for 4 days, but I had to cancel one day due to a train schedule, and I didn't complain because they were kind enough to cancel, but please at least clean up the mold. Even just spraying it with ethanol makes a difference.
The smell of sewage suddenly disappeared on the third day, which was good. Maybe it was because I turned off the exhaust fan that I had left on.
The hotel is located right in front of the Mekong River.
It's conveniently located near restaurants, markets, and alms-giving.
The bed was comfortable.
There is a TV but no remote control and it's broken so you can't watch it. Even if there was one, I wouldn't watch it so it's not a problem.
There was a teapot in the restaurant but I didn't touch it because I didn't know if it was OK to drink it.
The service was a bit distant, but maybe that's just how people in Laos are.
I'd like to come again if it wasn't for the mold and smell!

AAnonymous UserThe wooden two-story small building, the room has local characteristics, the health is satisfactory, the bathroom facilities are a bit old but do not affect the use, the hotel provides free bicycles, travel is very convenient. The boss can speak English and can book tickets to the train station and Guangxi Waterfall. A short distance from Foreigner Street, very convenient to have bicycles
