Everything was great. The location was right in the middle of everything so you will not need to walk more than 15 minutes any direction to see the city highlights, the room was clean, and the service was good. The only issue that I had with the amenities was that the soap and shampoo provided were super watery and inconvenient to use.

Convenient location, beautiful view if the Kharn river, break fast is great.
The negative thing is noises from the construction along the khan river, the room have a smeel from bathroom.

Golden Lotus Namkhan View is located by the Namkhan river in Luang Prabang. It is not too far away from the night market, the Royal Palace, the mount Phu Si, and many beautiful temples. They also provide tours and motorbike rentals.
The rooms don't have a window but a glass door instead. There was a noisy ceiling fan that couldn't be switched off so we had to turn off the power and sleep with no A/C. Our room had been overbooked and we were given an inferior room without any explanation or compensation.
The breakfast provided wasn't too good but there were good coffee shops and food stalls not too far away.
I would recommend it for couples or solo travelers but not for families.

Booked and paid in advance in the app.,. When I arrived at check-in, the staff said there was no room.,.the room was full 🙂↕️ They sent us to another hotel that was cheaper and didn't have breakfast, even though they said they included breakfast when booking…..and the new hotel room they gave us was really smelly.

Bo gave us a very warm welcome. He did everything he could to make us feel comfortable. When we arrived, one of the beds was badly stained. He changed the sheets right away and made sure we had everything we needed for the two nights we stayed. The hotel is close to the night market and other points of interest.

Enchanting location on the banks of the river, friendly welcome, team always attentive. A la carte breakfasts. Clean room well equipped with kettle, coffee/tea, water available, small refrigerator, what more could you want? A word of advice though: avoid room 1 which is just behind the reception (you participate in the discussions!), a slightly dark room without much view of the Mekong; negotiate hard to get a room upstairs, the price is the same!
