Beautiful guesthouse, located just outside the peninsula. Intimate, very clean and the most comfortable beds in Luang Prabang. Morning breakfast is simple yet delicious, with a beautiful view of the river, as if you are in a cafe shop. Staff is friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

The service is very good, the environment is good, and the location is not bad. It is convenient and hygienic to go anywhere by taxi. It is also very clean. The whole room environment is very good, in a forest. The check-in service was very good and made you feel at home.

The best hotel in Luang Prabang! We had such a warm welcome followed by a room upgrade and breakfast for free. The setting by the river is breathtaking!!! Big thanks to the friendly staff. Highly recommended!

The place is great : decoration, view in the river, quiet and fantastic service. Feels like home. And not so expensive for Luang Prabang during Chinese new year week. We strongly recommend. Rooms are not so big but very comfortable and well decorated.

I can't speak highly enough about this hotel. The team there are the sweetest, most welcoming staff - it was a joy to see them every morning. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Opt for a river facing room - the location is lovely , very peaceful as it's aay from the main stretch. It's a 20 minute walk to the old town, but the free bicycles they give you make that an easy ride. The deck is a fab place to hang out. The beds are very comfy. The entire hotel is beautifully decorated My only gripe is that you can't get a drink there - not even soft drinks or a beerlao - that location deserves a beer in the evening!! Local shop selling beers and wine are just 5 minutes away. Thank you Surey, Camnoi and team for a LOVELY stay!

Overall this is a delightful little property. It is located on the Nam Khan River, not the Mekong River. It isn’t far from where the rivers converge. The view from balcony rooms are fantastic . The view has to be the best part of this place. Perhaps nicer views than some of the hotels near the center on the Mekong. The property is located in a small local neighborhood. If you don’t mind walking, you can walk to the center of town. It is hump in my opinion. However, I have mobility issues, so I needed to take a tuk tuk or taxi. The place is very tastefully decorated. The beds are comfortable. The rooms are nice, although the photos of the rooms with bathtubs are misleading. They are not full size claw tubs. They are actually half the size of a regular tub. I did manage to squeeze myself into the tub, but I would have like to have known it was a mini tub. The staff are very friendly. However, other than one of the main hosts, the staff’s English was limited. This was frustrating when I needed directions or to ask questions. There did not seem to be anyone who spoke good English in the evenings. The breakfast they serve is fantastic. I really enjoyed having my lovely breakfast on my balcony each morning. There is also a very nice outdoor area on the river downstairs for everyone. Unfortunately, they didn’t have a restaurant for other meals. There are a couple of small places nearby that will deliver, but the food was pretty basic. The other thing to be aware of is the noises in the area. Sometimes it is just beautiful and serene. At other times, you have rowdy noises from the restaurant nearby or loud music from the restaurant across the river at night. You also have roosters waking everyone up first thing in the morning. In addition, when I was there, there was one night when the monks, at a local temple chanted ALL NIGHT long. It didn’t happen every night. Also, on my last night, a neighbor in the next room complained that they could hear me talking on the phone in my room. The sound travels between the rooms. I managed to deal with the noise, but it would be a bit much for some people. On a positive note, I really enjoyed Luang Prabang and I wish I had stayed longer. I was there only 3 nights. The region is beautiful and I wish I had more time to explore. Also, the hotel arranged for my airport transfer round trip, which was great. They even advanced me a bit of local money until I could make it to an ATM. I had a great private local guide and driver named Jimmy (Anglo name).

We stayed for the week and our room was beautiful…the riverside views were amazing. We loved the owners who are so passionate and really care for you, from taking time to check that everything about the stay is perfect, making sure we had plenty of (free) water, to recommending the best local eats off the beaten path. That’s what makes this place so special. It was the priciest of places we stayed in Laos but worth every penny, and we will definitely be back one day.

I can’t speak higher of this hotel! We were greeted by the lovely owner and receptionist who were so helpful, showing us recommendations for restaurants on their map and things to do in the area. The room was the nicest room we’ve stayed in in all our time travelling the past 2 months. The bed was so comfy and the shower was great. The hotel supplied bicycles free of charge for us to use to cycle around the lovely town. We will definitely stay here again!!

Bad day …. Given the appreciations and praise for this hotel we booked 2 nights On arrival everything corresponds to the photos and the welcome is charming but what a night!!!!! A bonze who "sings" all night... under the air corridor of Luang Prabang airport..., and to top it all off a horrible karaoke singer who spent her evening until 2 a.m. sabotaging all the songs that she intoned!!!!! In short, sleepless and horrible night Fortunately the staff agreed that we leave the hotel to avoid (if in doubt) another horrible night. I would still like to point out that we stayed in 4 hotels in and around Luang Prabang and it was the worst value for money, the others were less expensive for much quieter nights. So I find it difficult to understand the extraordinarily laudatory reviews on this hotel !!!

A lovely discovery in this charming medium-sized hotel on the banks of the Nam Ou. Quiet, comfortable and very clean rooms. Located a little away from the center but not too much (using a two-wheeler is even better) the Moonlight is perfectly managed by Bella and her very kind staff (help with renting a two-wheeler, buying an excursion or a train ticket…). Very nice breakfast on the terrace. We stayed there for 6 nights, it was a real pleasure!!!
