Awful. Arrived late afternoon on a Saturday, first impressions were a front door with broken glass followed by a greeting from a surly man wearing a T-Shirt and flip-flops. Hardly endearing. Room was a decent size, bunk beds for the kids and a queen-sized double for my partner and I with facilities of tv, kettle, hairdryer & a mini fridge. Cleanliness wasn’t the best. There was dust everywhere, the floor was sticky, beard shavings in the sink, hair in the bath, cobwebs and the duvet was stained underneath its cover. We didn’t stay for breakfast, but it appeared to be a coffee machine and a tub of cornflakes. The place serves its purpose as a bed for night, but that’s about it. I won’t be returning.

We booked a family sized room for 5 people, for one night before a holiday so we’d be close to the airport. When we arrived, the staff were nice and welcoming, and checked us in quickly. When we got to our room, there were only 4 beds. The staff member said they were going through changes and there were no 5 bed rooms available in the hotel. He brought us a folding camp bed which wasn’t great (see photos) but he did the best he could in the circumstances. I booked this hotel specifically because it could fit us all into one room, rather than split our children up the night before our holiday. As the room wasn’t what was advertised I wouldn’t stay here again.

Avoid at all costs, Sleeping in a bus shelter next to a pub would be a more hygenic experience, this is by far the dirtiest grim hotel I have ever experienced. The bathroom was filthy, soap scum and body debris coated the tiles from top to bottom, mould on the ceiling and grout. I woke up with bite marks on my arms and legs. Breakfast was not as advertised and extremely limited, toast or cereal, no non dairy options so it was toast only. I could smell the place on my clothes after we had left, this place should be shut down as a bio hazard

Absolutely horrendous place. Do not go. Its a dingy building crammed behind a petrol station. There were people hanging out of the downstairs windows smoking when I arrived. My room had a double bed and a bunk bed and was crammed with weird old spare mattresses everywhere which made me worry about hygeine and bedbugs. The bathroom was absolutely filthy with bits of tissue, hair and poo on the walls!! The bath and sink had rusty taps, mouldy grouting and the toilet cistern dripped all night. The advertised "buffet breakfast" was plain white toast or brown and some cheap cereal with cow milks only. The coffee was awful. I only stayed as I was 300 miles from home and it was 9:30pm when I arrived. Otherwise I would have driven off. Dont do it. Any positive reviews cannot be real.

I arrive here from airport with my wife, was very tired. Not very well lit, next to a petrol station on very busy cross road, so noisey, I'm from Sweden so me no get cold easily but the room was very cold, the bed wasn't made well and smelt of smoke, me and wife have fun to keep warm but it was short lived as we had a few unwelcome visitors at our window in the form of rats scratching and chewing at the wooden window frame, was very rude man on reception, breakfast horrendous, the police could use those sausages as truncheons, i dared not eat it, found a lorry driver cafe down the road. I would never stay here again, it is like faulty towers if it was horror film, a romantic night break with wife before going to relatives turned into no passion at rat mansion, we thought about hitch hiking out of there with a trucker

We stayed there for 2 nights while visiting my family. The first room was ok, slightly damp bathroom mouldy ceiling tiles but the tv didn’t work. So we were offered to change rooms. The 2nd room was damp, smelly and the bedding was damp too. I have sleep apnea and have to sleep with a CPAP mask and breathing in damp mouldy air, isn’t great! We paid extra for a “cooked” breakfast that was undercooked bacon and sausages that everyone else had for free! Resided the issue, the owner said he would rectify but the next day there was no full cooked breakfast. Just 3 eggs! Give the owner a chance to sort the issue but he just said we threatened him when we asked for an update. Then he offered us a £25 refund, which shows he knows the issues are valid but we declined as it was an insult! We stayed at the travel lodge for 2 dights after this and it was perfect and was cheaper!! Book somewhere else is my advice.

I mean, it was fine but it had the overall feel of Bates Motel. The guy in reception was very helpful when we arrived and even gave us some advice on the event we were in the area to see. However, we went up to the room only to find the room hadn’t even been cleaned from the previous occupants- beds unmade, dirty towels and cups everywhere, This began a whole drama because “I’m fully booked tonight so I don’t know what I’m going to do”. Then we were given another room. Honestly, I don't think dingy is the right word but it absolutely was. The window catch was broken so the wind whistled through the window all night and the room was cold all night. Breakfast was passable, good bacon though. It was fine for a stop over but honestly it’s dingy and a bit grim and the guy in reception looked like he was being run ragged doing everything on his own. It was fine, if served it’s purpose but I wouldn’t come back.
