F Zeen Kefalonia

Highly recommended. The food, the setting, the staff and the facilities are outstanding. I cannot recommend F Zeen highly enough and have faith that whoever goes there will have an amazing experience. Close to the beach and a short taxi ride from the airport.

From the moment I entered the hotel an unpleasant adventure began! I was waiting for over 15’ to open the gate in order to enter the hotel with my car.. additionally a very rude woman welcomed me and made it clear that the parking area is outside the hotel! (Unbelievable) After some time again they tried to take me to my room with a club car unsuccessfully as the other club car was blocking our way because it was abandon (as it was out of service) so I walked to room in an under construction environment . The room now all the surrounding again under construction! The only water in the room was tap water!!! No hanger in the closet! After all these I complained, nothing changed! I also reminded them to do the turn over as I left the room to for dinner around 20:00 ( they told me of course we will do) when I got back at 12:00 no one had cleaned my room! Additionally the hotel doesn’t have a manager! The manager is the front desk manager… Unbelievable! The only part that is nice here is the spa super polite therapist!

It was a lovely end to our Kefalonia holiday. The grounds were beautiful overlooking a beautiful beach.

Every corner of this hotel is picture perfect. The design is spot on and views from all around are expansive. From the surrounding roads you can barely tell that a hotel of this size exists but the layout in lots of little buildings means that it sits perfectly and unobtrusively along the hillside surrounded by foliage. Everywhere is well maintained and clean. The food is excellent - lots of healthy but tasty options. Extensive drinks menu with lovely wines. The beach isn't especially beautiful but the water was calm, clear and everywhere was clean and quiet. The hotel have their own private area with sun loungers and parasols. They also have their own private beach club where you can order food/drinks, play games and take towels. We didn't stay long enough to use all the facilities but will come back in the future to discover more of what's on offer. Kefalonia in general is a tranquil and unspoilt island. It's well geared up for tourists but there's still a feeling of culture. We hired a car and drove to Myrtos beach (a highlight of our holiday) and Fiskardo. We found some excellent restaurants too - En Keffalinia (organic farm) and The Olive Lounge were our favourites and Sarris Winery had lots of great wines. Overall this goes down as one of favourite holidays - Thank you F-Zeen

I am currently staying at the resort and felt compelled to write a review about the lovely therapist Aliki from the Spa. Aliki is very warm, friendly and highly skilled therapist and a most valuable asset to Fzeen Team. Highly recommend asking for her by name if you visit the Spa.

With the room plus extras (food, drink, spa, activities, etc.) averaging £1,000 a night, plus the very glamorous advertising, this puts a certain level of expectation on the experience when you stay at somewhere like F Zeen, particularly as Lourdas isn’t a dream location… I stayed in a beautiful one bedroom villa, and for me this justified the price. I asked for a quiet room and that’s exactly what I got, just the sound of the sea for company with a great view. Ask for room 211 if like me you value privacy and quiet, and don’t mind being a walk away from the main amenities (and with some steps to climb). I loved the raw, neutral decor, very calming. I loved the pool (especially the jets - amazing pressure!). The sun loungers and rattan bed on the deck were top quality - I loved ordering room service and then sitting outside watching the view whilst I ate. The F Zeen own brand products (hair cleanser, hair elixir, body cleanser, body elixir) were also noticeable for their quality and fragrance. I thought the food was exceptional, I haven’t eaten high-end food like that in Kefalonia before, think Nobu-style trendy plates… I would love to see the raw menu extended, plus offering bitesize desserts for a smaller treat for the health-conscious - the size of the desserts in general seemed a little bit out of proportion compared to the rest of the menu. I felt very comfortable as a solo traveller, the staff were all friendly and welcoming (not stuffy or intimidating as some of these places can be), and I felt at ease sitting on my own at dinner. My room felt very secure - I liked the option to turn on ‘Do Not Disturb’ and ‘Clean’ lights from inside my room. Great app - I like the online chat service and the schedule showing the great range of classes and activities on offer. When you check-in the staff refer you to the map in the app to orient yourself, but it wasn’t very helpful, you have to really magnify it to find what you are looking for - maybe include a video tour, or a guided walk based on your location? It would be good to have one schedule where you can view all the restaurant bookings, classes, spa treatments, etc. you have booked for the day all in one place, rather than in separate areas of the app. Unfortunately the Idor Spa is a bit of an afterthought, which is a real no-no for a high-end retreat. Really sorry, but when you walk in you are greeted with a sewage smell (presumably from being located in the basement of the building?), which I don’t think is intentional! And when you’re having a treatment and trying to relax, you hear all the chatter from reception, even with music on. The spa had got the time wrong with one treatment - they had emailed me saying 4.30pm but had booked it in for 5pm, so I then had to hang around for 30 minutes waiting to start. Treatments were very average - average products with standard application. Consider the prices you are charging for treatments, and visit spas in London to see what kind of experien

It takes more than friendly staff and a great spot to make a true five-star hotel. It's the little things that create a memorable experience and bring you back... Such as letting you an hour more (noon, rather than eleven) to check out, after having spent 8 days with them... Such as having good water pressure (true, it is build along a hill, btw, be in good shape to stay here, else you will spend time in the golf buggy) or having a Bluetooth device in your room. And F Zeen lacks this... Nice hotel, but not a breathtaking and outstanding experience, while prices pretend to offer exactly this.

Unfortunately we did not enjoy our stay with you, we got a room up the mountain far from everything, I explained that my husband suffers from back pain and I asked to change a room, you offered a room that did not suit us, we did not feel that you did enough to make us satisfied, you replied that there was no room and that was the end of it, the service at the reception was very shallow. We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights and paid a high price. We did not use the facilities that the hotel offers including the pool because of the distance. On the first day we arrived at night, we were very surprised that there was no reception, there was a driver who did everything and it took a whole hour until we got the room. You had 2 drivers is not enough, there were times we asked and it took a long time until they came to pick us up. I would like to point out that later we moved to another hotel "emilsse nature resort" the service was amazing there were shuttle services all the time they only had a number of vehicles and drivers. I'm very disappointed. I would greatly appreciate a response and adequate compensation.
