This was the last stop of a week-long road trip with my father and brother and it was, by far, the best place we stayed all week! We stayed in a two bedroom apartment facing the lake so we could all be together. It was warm and cozy when we arrived on a cold, rainy day. The apartment was clean and looked new and I loved the furniture! Instead of the cheap-looking, sleek, cookie cutter furniture you find at most hotels, the rooms are furnished with comfortable, homey beds and dressers. There were soft, fluffy towels and plenty of kitchen equipment to cook if you want (we didn't). Marcy was great with suggestions for places to eat (Chase's for dinner and Via Main for breakfast) and advice for watching the ships in the locks. The over all vibe is warm and friendly, I felt welcome in a way you don't get at the big chain places.
