Lite Haus means little house in Norwegian. But we also named it this because of the sound of, "Light House". We hope that this space can be a place of "Light" and restoration for each person who stays- a great escape.The home is a wonderful, quick walk to Old Town Louisville (just 3 blocks away). There are plenty of coffee shops, restaurants, and boutiques to explore. The home is also a short 15 minute drive from Boulder and a scenic 25 mins. to Denver. Public bus stop is a 1/2 block away.The spaceThe Lite Haus is connected to the owners main home, but once you are inside you'll feel like you are in your own little oasis. This mid-mod gem is impeccably clean, thoughtfully designed and fully appointed. The size is best for 1 or 2 guests.Guest accessThe "Lite Haus" is connected to our main home, but is its own entity, separated by a foot thick concrete wall. Park in front of house and walk down the path to the private and beautiful French door entrance.Other things to noteThere is plenty of storage in this little house, a large space to roll luggage under bed (bed is built so that luggage can be stored underneath). This charming historic 100+ year old miner's cottage has been lovingly restored with a modern farmhouse chic feel. The home is one block away from old town Louisville with a three minute walk to many restaurants, coffee shops and small business retail shops.There is a small but well equipped kitchen, complete with fridge, microwave, drip coffee maker, gas stove and oven. There is a kitchen counter with seats for 4. There are two bedrooms, each with a private bathroom. The master has a shower and the queen has a tub. The beds have comfy memory foam feather free mattresses and down-free duvets. There is a comfy couch in the living room and a mounted LG smart tv. We provide Hulu live tv and Disney plus for your convenience. We are happy to provide a pack and play and high chair upon request.Louisville is an eclectic neighborhood nestled between Boulder (10 miles away) and Denver (25 miles away) and is often ranked by MONEY as Best Places to Live. During the summer there are outdoor concerts and a lively farmer's market. The house has easy access to biking and hiking trails.Free guest parking is available on the street. There is a bus stop right outside the house with easy access to Boulder (RTD DASH). Boulder is 10 minutes away and Denver is 25 minutes away.House Rules1. We love our home and hope you do too, this is our main residence​ but ​we are​ traveling so much that we decided to rent it for people wanting a luxurious​ vacation experience. Our three bedroom/ three bathroom​ home has about 2400 sq ft and in the summer/fall months​ you can enjoy another 800 sq ft of outdoor space. Master bedroom is located upstairs and the 2 other bedrooms are located in the basement. Our home is best suitable for​ kids over 12. This is our main residence and we have been rented it out for about 2 years on another website and decided that since we have two other properties on VRBO we should list this house on VRBO as well.Our house is just blocks away from Historical Downtown Louisville, which is expanding and thriving by the day. There are bakeries, bars, and bistros just a five​-minute​ walk from our house; not to mention great restaurants, Thursday night concerts in the park and Louisville's amazing line-up of summer concerts called Street Faire. No need to leave our cute little town.
