Leshiba Wilderness

We drove the track uphill in pouring rain, we stayed 3 nights with rain and we drove downhill in pouring rain. But still it was magic and relaxing and wonderful with nice staff and every comfort in our suite you can think of. If you want to feel away from this world go to Leshiba. Only one point: NO WiFi in the room and the WiFi at the lodge is also not really good. For us proper Wifi is important. I feel more stressed when it's not available :-)

Wow, we just loved our stay at Leshiba Wilderness. Such a gorgeous retreat run by a wonderful team. Especially loved the chance to walk in the wild, the birds and the general game. What a relaxing treat!

We stayed here for 2 nights. We were the only guests. We had one of the luxury houses with swimming pool. However, swimming pool was not clean. The location is beautiful. The food was delicious the first day (both breakfast and dinner). The second day was both breakfast and dinner terrible. There was also another chef in the kitchen that day. We also did a game drive. Many rhinos. My husband also had a massage. This is not recommended. He had muscle pain in his jaw for three days. He is used to massages so it was not because of that. In fact, we found the price too expensive and not in balance. We don't recommend it.

My wife and I stayed at the Duvha unit in the Venda Art Village. We decided to do self-catering. The unit was incredible! The plunge pool was just what we needed to cool off during the day. The bed was very comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The beautiful bathroom had a great bath with a stunning view and a fantastic outdoor shower. The kitchen has everything you required to prepare your own meals. The unit has great views from all windows and the patio area looks onto a plain that often had game. We hiked on the reserve and the scenery, animals and birds were spectacular. It is a very a peaceful reserve with hardly any sign of human infrastructure. We also did a sunset game drive which I can highly recommend. The guide, Peter, was very knowledgeable about the ecology and the history of the area. You will not regret staying at Leshiba! We can't wait to go again!

After the steep drive up the mountain, we understood why Leshiba is so exclusive. We received a warm welcome, were informed of the necessities, and then spent two days at the secluded Hamasha bush camp with an occasional visits from giraffe, kudu and elephant shrew. The trails are well laid out, and we would have loved to explore more of them. The house is equipped with all you need (and more) for a comfortable stay.

We spent a few days here at the Venda Art Lodge and is was pure bliss! We wanted to stop the time so we could lengthen our stay. The staff is so friendly, the view is breathtaking, the food was excellent. The houses are very complete. We really enjoyed our stay!!
