Hochwälder Wohlfühlhotel

We booked, and got, a room with facilities for people with some mobility issues. It was located on the ground floor, which was great, although the hotel does have a lift to higher floors. The room itself was large, very comfortable with patio doors opening out onto a lawn. The bathroom was also large, and very well adapted for disabilities. I've no reason to think all the other rooms are very similar i.e large and comfortable. The breakfast buffet had an excellent selection of both hot and cold dishes and was inclusive in the price. From the hotel, it is only a minutes walk down to the lake ( which is actually a man-made reservoir ), and there is a well maintained path all the way round ---about 5Km. The hotel itself doesn't have a restaurant but has a brewery and restaurant next door. The beer is excellent. The food is basically your typical german schnitzel and frites place, although both were better than the average schnitzel place. This was only an overnight stop on a journey down south, but it was a very good choice and I would definitely use it again on a similar trip.
