I feel hotel should not impose the extra costs for the safe box and tap water during the buffet these are essential services for the guests. This is not fair for all the guests. Another great stay at spring hotel Arona grand in the up!. So much so we had to rebook for September, Antony & Stephanie provide a personal service when we had any issues going above & beyond, Food drink & the cleanliness of the hotel is excellent, We really do enjoy our time in the up! It’s a great experience worth every penny. Thank you again Arona Grand for a lovely stay.

My husband treated me to seven days here for my 40th birthday and upgraded us to the UP with massages included, we booked with Jet2 who did us a good deal. Check in was very quick and we were allocated a room on 6th floor so easy access to the rooftop. Our room was lovely and spotless and the view was amazing! Had 7 nights brilliant sleep because the bed was so comfy. We spent every day on the roof and it was so peaceful and relaxing with views to die for. There were always loads of beds to choose from with freshly folded towels on them. Lots of choice at the bar with premium drinks included in the all inclusive and the food on the roof was always nice and fresh just a little repetitive. Chilled wine and champagne to help yourself too and bottles of beer in the fridge. Everyone was so friendly and we got chatting to some lovely couples of all ages who had been going to Aaron’s Gran for years, some even 20 odd years in a row. Food in the main restaurant was beautiful and so much to choose from! All staff very friendly and attentive. Didn’t watch much of the entertainment as we went out most nights but the couple of nights we watched it was good. Lots of bars and restaurants within walking distance and supermarket straight across the road. Me and my husband had a massage which was great and the spa is so relaxing I could of spent all day in there! We got a 5 course a la carte meal included in our package and it was delicious, highly recommended. We would definitely stay here again and have recommended it to friends, family and colleagues of ours, you will not be disappointed if you stay here!

The Aron Gran sits proudly at the end of the bay in Los Cristianos, meaning it easy to get about. When you enter the hotel, it is a wow with a hugh atrium and chandelier with plants growing down the side of the internal balconies. The reception is just a desk and hard to see but check in is fast and painless. The hotel is very clean. A lot of money has been spent on the outside areas. There are 3 pool areas of varying temperatures from 20 degrees to 35 degrees, the third and warmest containing jacuzzi bubbles and water jets. There is a pool bar and plenty of seating and sun beds. There are no kids here either. Sitting by the pool is a pleasure, and music is only played during aquarobiccs at lunchtime. Pool towels are included in your stay For an extra 60 euros per person, you can use the UP area on the roof. This has free snacks and infinity pools We had a peek but didn't go as it seemed expensive for what it offered. The dining room is buffet style but didn't feel crowded. Food to suit everyone was different daily. The room was the disappointment of the stay. Plastic chirs on the balcony and the decor something from the late 80s. There is a fridge in the room, tea and coffee, safe etc and robe and slippers. The room we stayed in had a sea view but no sun until it was about to set. The paint on the bathroom ceiling was peeling, lino lifting and doors etc generally shabby( see pics) The evening entertainment was similar nightly with some sort of music act rather than a variety. We are probably also the youngest guest here ( 50s)most being in theor late 70s and 80s. There is even a place in the hotel for mobility scooter parking!! Staff are friendly and speak English. There is a gym which iss well equipped. The hotel has a spa by the pools which is quite expensive to book treatments but very relaxing. We enjoyed the experience but probably won't be back as it was not a cheap hotel and reallyfailed to deliver that wow factor we expected having read other reviews and we got as we stepped into the hotel lobby on day 1

A superb hotel. Having visited Los Cristianos for many years this was one hotel we always said we’d like to stay at. We booked B&B as we know the area and the many restaurants around. We were not disappointed. The variety of food at breakfast was amazing. Something for everyone. Rooms are spacious and immaculately clean. Beds are super comfortable. Plenty of storage for clothes etc. All staff cannot do enough for you and all very helpful. Entertainment is of a good standard and well run. Pleased to see that any towels left early on sunbeds are removed by staff. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have already booked again for next year. Five star experience.

Hotel This is one of the most impressive and beautiful hotels I’ve ever stayed at. Rooms Well appointed all the usual kettle, tea, coffee, two free bottles of water replenished daily, on the balcony are two subbed type chairs a nice touch because the balconies are suntraps. Pools Two one heated one not, also a jacuzzi which I did not try so can’t comment. There is a lifeguard on duty most of the time, he also distributes the towels which you can exchange daily. Next to the pool is a bar, which also has pastries and ice cream. There is a restaurant also which we did not use so can’t comment. Sunbeds Ok the nitty gritty is, if you want a bed in a certain place you are going to have to get up for it, but beware if you leave you bed with a towel on it, when the lifeguard comes on duty, he will remove it and your belongings if you are not there. Food Usual buffet style food, plentiful and well cooked, there is a grill chef each evening cooking steaks and fish, he is also there in the morning doing omelettes which are lovely. Bars There is a bar which has a piano player every evening, however they are so loud, if you want a pre dinner drink have it in your room, because you will not be able to hold a conversation without shouting. The entertainment bar opens at 8pm with live music, we did not see the headline acts because the supports acts were so bad we only lasted a couple of songs, apart Rom one a guitar vocalist (British guy) who was really good. Location If you want a relaxing pool holiday then this is for you, however if you like a look round the shops there are none nearby, there is a very small mall in the hotel, with a good leather shop, a costume jewellery shop, an electrical shop, and a ladies and gents outfitters. There is a Spanish style market right next door to the hotel every Tuesday and Sunday selling all the usual market fayre, a most enjoyable wander. Staff I’ve left this to last because I was so disappointed, with the exception of a very few friendly staff, most of the staff I encountered were just not friendly, some were downright surly. However if you are a returning guest you are treated like one of the family, VIPs I did wonder if that was because there might have been a tip at the end if the stay. I offer no apologies for this, these people are in the hospitality trade, it’s it the job title Be Hospitable Would I go back sadly no.

An absolutely stunning hotel. You walk through to the reception & you look up to see the stunning chandelier & greenery overflowing from each floor, my mouth actually fell open :) The breakfast was lovely, a great variety of fresh food, we only went B&B, polite & friendly staff too. The cleanliness was exceptional, well done to the cleaning staff. My husband used the gym, he said it was an excellent gym, just a lady...a staff member who was so focused on doing a great job...became a little annoying after a couple of days, asking people that used it to make sure equipment was wiped down after each use, he used it 7 of the 9 days we were there. Even the tall young man who gave the towels out by the pool was always there giving a hand if he noticed anyone struggling to put up the sun shade umbrella's. The pool's were well maintained. 10/10 for this beautiful hotel.

Been to 5 star hotels around the world this 4 star plus is up there with them. Very grand entrance, clean and up to date, relaxing atmosphere. Super friendly staff. Gym is the best iv seen in ANY hotel. Poolside excellent. We were lucky enough to have a suite,  exceptional.  So much room and storage we had trouble finding things at first. Curved tv in bedroom. Larger flat screen in front room , Great views out to sea and over coast.  Had own sunbeds on one of our two private balcony's.  Food very good. Large choice something for everyone. Entertainment on every night, if not to your taste there is a large area for people who want to watch sports, last but not least there is also an outside area next to the pool area, which is beautifully lit up at night to sit and have a drink. All while being served by bar staff. Who are all very friendly.
