I stayed at the Arona Gran Hotel in Los Cristianos last August as part of a birthday trip with friends. The hotel itself was really well-kept, with a relaxing pool area and very clean facilities. We had bed and breakfast included, which was convenient—but as someone who avoids pork, I noticed straight away there were hardly any halal or inclusive options, which was disappointing. I had to stick to fruit and pastries most mornings, which isn't ideal when you're paying for breakfast. That aside, the staff were friendly and helpful, especially when booking local taxis. The location was perfect—close to the beach and just a short drive from the nightlife in Las Americas, which was the main reason for our trip. Overall, the hotel offered a peaceful atmosphere, but more dietary consideration would have made a huge difference.

We enjoyed our holiday at Arona Gran. This is the 4th time we have been over 15 years. The food is still if a very high standard, but on some occasions the food was not hot enough. Our room had a lovely view, over the pool. There was only a very small wardrobe in our room which we found not big enough for all our hanging clothes. There was a sharp cracked tile in the bathroom. Entertainment could have been better. Although we enjoyed the piano being played in the bar prior to our evening meal. On some occasions, service was slow in the bar. All in all we enjoyed our holiday and, I am sure, we will at some point come back and stay at Arona Gran

We arrived after a very long day travelling from Scotland. I don't think hotels realise all the travelling that is involved when arriving at a hotel. Check-in had a long queue. We got a room on the 4th floor, and the room was nice and quiet. This was our second visit to this hotel, and the hotel is lovely. The restaurant food is good but it is very crowded and it is sometimes difficult leaving your table especially on the Gala nights. The swimming pools are also nice but unfortunately the weather was generally poor whilst we were there. The staff are really nice all over the hotel.I would recommend this hotel as it is of a high standard.

The Arona Gran is excellent. The staff are amazing. Tedi the fitness/entertainment chap is excellent at his job, he motivates you to do your best and his colleague Jessica is a lovely girl and always on the dancefloor. The restaurant and bar staff are excellent too and also the cleaning staff are faultless. The hotel is amazing, so clean and welcoming. The views are fabulous. The pools clean and tidy, the life guards are always on hand with clean towels. The food is phenomenal and so much of it. Every type of pallet catered for. The evening entertainment is varied and good and there are things laid on during the day, such as bingo, pool aerobics, pilates, yoga, stretch and tone and a quiz. Entertainment around the pool. Piano music in the evenings, a violinist during special evenings, when roses are handed out to the ladies. Bubbly free with breakfast. I could go on and on. Amazing holiday, you won't be disappointed if you stay here.

This our sixth visit to the hotel which we always spend on the Up A few negative points since our last visit but also some improvements in different areas. We always book direct with the hotel which includes private transfers to and from the hotel this as changed to a bus service which is not working from lots of complaints form regular customers. Please Arona change back to the old way . Else you might find you loose customers especially the elderly holiday makers. Reception check in with Sophie was great she was friendly polite and check in was easy. The rooms are starting to show very tired in the decor and the furniture is looking old fashioned. No water in the rooms daily anymore . For what you pay for is a little poor . The landings do have water machines but we didn’t use them as people were saying a lot had bad tummy upsets using them . I think two bottles of water daily is not that costly. Also the maid service wasn’t the best they did the bare minimum nearly every day we were left with no teaspoons. The maids always left your room immaculate with towel sculptures in the past. The up has improved especially lunch with hot choices added and a few extras also the afternoon cakes have improved. Unfortunately our first few days the up was a bit messy with glasses cups extra not being cleared and most days no towels being put out . I think this was due to the boy man sitting on his phone all day long and not moving . We did discuss our concerns with Narrisa . Narrisa as always was fabulous a brilliant host. Also Sabrina at the bar she’s the best bar person on the Up. The food in the main restaurant is just has good as it’s always been can get very busy . The gala dinner had gone down hill which is a shame . Just a few minor adjustments needed to make the hotel perfect again , But we still love staying at the Arona Gran on the Up and will always return. It will always be our special relaxing haven.

This is truly a fantastic hotel. The rooms are not only comfortable and quiet but also exceptionally well-equipped (there's even a pillow menu!). The restaurants are absolutely beautiful, and the staff consistently deliver service that is closer to five stars than four. The spa is a lovely retreat and a perfect place to unwind. This was my first holiday where I had accessibility needs, and from the moment I booked, I felt fully supported. I am incredibly grateful to Anthony for his outstanding assistance in ensuring that everything went smoothly and seamlessly. From having a mobility scooter waiting for me at reception to having a table in the restaurant closer to my preferred buffet station, everything was taken care of with such thoughtfulness. I opted for the UP! Experience, which was nothing short of exceptional, particularly if you’re able to enjoy the terrace most days. It exudes a calm, luxurious atmosphere that really enhances the experience. Every member of staff I encountered was fantastic, but along with Anthony I would like to give a special mention to Neressa and Sabrina, whose kindness and attentiveness made my stay even more memorable. If I were to make a couple of suggestions for improvement: 1) The reception staff were lovely, but they seemed quite overworked, especially during peak check-in/check-out times, and 2) The only minor issue with the UP! Terrace was the frequent "pings" from phone notifications. Many high-end spas display signs requesting that phones be kept on silent, and it would be wonderful to see something similar here. Overall, I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and will certainly be returning in the future. A huge thank you to everyone who made my stay so special.

This was my10+ visit to the Arona Gran. There are some pros and some cons. The cost of the holiday has increased substantially but the standard has gone down. I love the Up terrace and is the main reason for my return visits. The private taxi transfer is no more and I found having to wait for nearly an hour for the bus unacceptable, so got a taxi. The removal of the lovely toiletries in the room is disappointing as the replacement ones on the wall are of inferior quality and difficult to use with arthritic fingers. There are no bottles of water in the room each day. This is replaced by water machines at the lift ends of each floor.A water jug in each room would be beneficial. The quality of the food in the restaurant is not nearly as good as it used to be. The food on the up terrace is much better. The staff are very good and do a really good job and are usually very friendly. I will return later in the year.

A very comfortable hotel. Very clean, staff very attentive. Great for a walk out along the very flat frontage pass all the bars and shops. In a quiet area of Los Christianos. Entertainment at night can be a be a bit hit and miss, some good, some not so good. There is an amazing choice of food at breakfast and dinner. Omelettes cooked to order, English bacon, fried eggs, boiled eggs. Lots of different sausages. Numerous choices of fresh fruit and canned. Smoked salmon and also there is sparkling wine for you to help yourself. Lots of meats and cheese to choose from. Different breads, some gluten free foods and also diabetics. Different types of milk and also lots of yogurts. Evening meal - you are spoilt for choice, lots of fish to choose from, meats and lots of different vegetables. Desserts are amazing. If you have evening meal on Wednesday it is their Gala Night. A glass of fizz on entering, or orange juice - plus a rose for the ladies. The food is even better on this night with the choices being too numerous to list. As the hotel is an adults only hotel the peace and quiet on the UP terrace is fully appreciated. A nice treat to be able to relax up there. Drinks included, food non stop, safe free of charge and kettle plus Nespresso machine in the room. We have stayed as a couple and have also gone with friends - very relaxing.
