We have positives and negatives about the staff, 2 of the guys serving drinks were great, Pelipe and Alfredo were amazing, we cannot fault them. They always had a smile and made us feel great! However Fidel Castro was unbelievably rude and unfriendly, he made us feel uncomfortable and we didn’t like this services around the pool, but we will not visit again until he is not here.
Medano Hotel and Spa

We chose Medano Hotel for the location and good reviews. We were very pleased with the comfortable & clean room with a ceiling fan and remote to run the AC. The balcony overlooking the pool from our 4th floor was a nice place to sit in the evening and listen to the live music, playing from about 8-10 PM. There were many activities which we did not take advantage of, including pickleball, putting green, pool table, ping pong, foosball and air hockey. The gym that is available for free is amazingly nice. We were surprised there was even free laundry machines. The waiter, Alan, was a delight every breakfast. He kept the coffee coming. The free breakfast options were multiple. Eggs were a bit bland but the pancakes with fresh strawberries were quite flavorful. Salsa could have helped the eggs with the flavor. From our location, we were able to walk about .25 miles up a small hill and down again to the Medano beach. It was heavily populated on the weekend but less so during the week. The constant hounding to buy things by the locals along the beach got very old very quick. We found a beach on the west side of the marina (maybe Playa Coral Negro) that was a walk but quite nice with huts to provide cover and less selling being done. Food was an easy walk from the hotel, reasonable and delicious at Taco Gardenias (shrimp & fish tacos!) and El Pollo de Oro. Cash only for El Pollo de Oro and sit on the left side for the best service. Sweets at Docecuarenta casa de cafe were decadent.
Marquis Los Cabos, an All - Inclusive, Adults - Only & No Timeshare Resort

The hotel is small in size. There are very few choices in the restaurant bar. There is a coffee snack bar and there is no activity. Overall, it is acceptable for people who like to lie down and enjoy a quiet holiday. The hotel lobby is beautiful. The pool is divided into several infinity pools. The photo is beautiful. The room is very clean. The staff is very hot. Generally speaking, the price is average.
Playa Grande Resort

It’s location is a positive factor. Right near the marina with a private beach in the pacific side of the Baja peninsula. Rooms are clean and had all amenities listed. The checkin process is a bit lengthy, you will have to meet the receptionist and the hostess, it could have been shortened. Also while checkout the receptionist mentioned that our prebooked taxi cannot come inside the property to pick us, but finally the driver managed to come-in.

Just don't bother. I booked 2 rooms back in February for our stay in August. I paid the balance a week before the trip. When I arrived I was told that they couldn't verify the deposit I made in February or that I had paid the remaining balance. I showed them proof of both because I printed and saved the documentation for all payments. I was told by the front desk staff (Abraham and Itzel) that they close payments take a day to show up. When I told them I paid a week ago then the story changed. After them rudely telling me multiple times I had to pay $529.47 as an incidental fee whilst the lady next to us was told $200 for her incidental fee, I had enough. They said that they had to call Reservations to confirm which was conveniently closed at the time even though i called reservations 3 times that week to confirm what was needed for check in. My friend brought up to them that their contracts said $100 for incidental fees that we signed and they said their solution for us was for us to hold $200 on one card and $300 on another card implying that they thought we didn't have the money. The whole time the two of them were conversing back and forth in spanish as if I didn't understand them as they did not know that Spanish is actually my first language. At this point I opted to speak to her in Spanish to which she stared at me baffled and then called her manager Michael. Michael told us that they couldn't verify the deposit so we had to pay the money. I asked him why and he said they closed the nooks monthly so it wasn't showing on their screen. I informed him that we paid it in February and showed him proof. Therefore if you close books monthly then you have it. I informed him that I was here and heard Abraham tell the woman next to us that the fee was $200. At which point he told us that we had to paid incidentals of $200 per room and that was all. Upon getting to my room I was disappointed with how dated it was. The restaurant ans bar staff were amazing. I had a great time and much better customer service next door at the Grand Solmar. We came for a group event and all the people at the event had the same or worse experiences. At check out they had their ducks in a row on everything though in order to get money they thought was owed to them. Upon leaving the resort I discovered that I and several others are covered in rashes that appear to be bug bites. I will never stay here again.
