Front Desk - Average, they are cool and get their job done, but make me feel that I may have ruined their day (; Bell Desk - Good, much better experience and they are friendly Cleanliness - Good Shower - Excellent, great and consistent hot water pressure Room - Poor Non-stop water pipe running noise from the air-conditioning. Non stop blinking message light on the phone. Housekeeping knocked on the door at 10:15 to rush you to check out (check out time 11:00am) Security - Poor. Non hotel guest was allowed to trespass in the lobby and guest lift. Will I stay here again - Probably, for price and location.

Great location and reasonably priced, we staid 3 days before continuing our trip. Rooms are clean and spacious, reception is on the 40th floor, so to get to your room you have to go up first, switch elevator and go down to your room. Sometimes a bit annoying because of the waiting All in all a recommended stay

I have booked and stayed in Doubletree by Hilton Los Angeles Downtown for 3 night. it's great location. near Union train station and subway. The little Tokyo is just around the corner. also 7/11 store just opposite road. The staff is very helpful. I definitely will come back again.

Room was not cleaned properly. The carpet hasn’t been vacuumed in months and it was quite dirty. However when complained to the hotel, they took responsibility and cleaned it right away.

Could easily be zero stars. Original room was 93 degrees upon check in, the air conditioning unit was poor by anyone's standard, we asked to switch rooms. They did not offer to come get our bags, or move us to a new room so we brought our luggage back down to the front desk. We were then given a second room. Again, no offer made to accompany us and see if the new room was up to standards. This room was 92 degrees upon entry. After a second phone call, they sent up staff to change the filters on the AC unit. That team told us the AC was functioning well and blowing cold air (it was blowing cold air as if you had a few ice cubes in your mouth and blew on my neck) and to use the blackout curtains (after a sort of condescending explanation of what blackout curtains do) and give it some time for the AC to work. We went out to dinner for about two hours and came back to a nice cool 87 degree room. We once again took our belongings back downstairs. We were then told by the front desk staff that since we booked a room with a king size bed all of those rooms faced the sun and would all have similar problems (why would that be an acceptable answer?) and they could do nothing more for us since they accommodated us once already. I had no idea their idea of accommodating someone was to put them in a room with the same problem that the previous room had but what do I know, I am not in the hospitality industry. We were then told that the hotel was completely booked so no further ”accommodations” could be made. We asked for a refund and this is the first time they reacted with some conviction, they were happy to let us leave. Must be nice to be able to turn away business. At no time were there any apologies, any remorse, just matter-of-factly let us leave. My wife and I don't argue or yell, we never feel its worth it, but we left angry and hotel-less on a Saturday night in Los Angeles. We scrambled to find a new hotel but the damage was done, they took our entire Saturday away from us, which no refund could ever compensate for, they temporarily took our joy to be in town on our own as we are parents and do not get much time away. We did take our business elsewhere, to a Hilton, they seem to understand that to relax you need a room that is slightly cooler than a sauna. We were able to salvage the remaining days of our trip. Also the elevators at the Freehand are old (charming?) and constantly in use because of the rooftop bar so it took us waiting for a few packed elevators to get up and down to the hot AF rooms which probably added to our level of frustration. But it was mostly the Sahara like environment of the hot room. Did I mention the rooms were hot? Also maybe use a free hand to open a book on what hospitality looks like, I think your staff may be surprised. (see what I did there?)

I needed to go to the courthouse for family matters and the Bonaventure is so close and is just an amazing and lovely place to stay. Everything you need is at your fingertips and it’s a joy to just hang out in the lobby. Also, all the staff that I had interactions with were so helpful and friendly (so rare to find these days!)

Sorry to say there is little to like about this hotel. If you arrive by car (as most will- who rides the LA metro?) you will need to park in the recommended parking garage a few doors down. It is run-down and filthy (check out my photo of the parking garage elevator). Overnight parking is $30. My ”upgraded” hotel room was perhaps the smallest I've even stayed in. No fridge, no place to put your luggage, no coffee maker, no table to eat or work at (there is a very small bar height platform and one bar chair), and filthy windows (see photo). I will give them praise for the comfy bed and pillows. As a Hilton Diamond you get a $9 per day food/drink credit. And you will need it. An ok burger on the rooftop bar costs $29 (see photo, fries not included) before taxes and tip. The restaurant served food an hour after opening and couldn't serve a basic soft drink. It's downtown LA, so expect a sketchy neighborhood, many surly homeless encounters and lots of empty storefronts (great job Mayor Bass). You will not want to walk around the area after dark. The photo of the rooftop bar seems to be photoshopped. The view is generally rooftop a/c units and parking garages, not modern skyscrapers. I'm a loyal Hilton member, but the Wayfarer is a hard pass when next in downtown LA.

07/26 (approximately 1pm) in room 1525: One of the four guests in our room discovered what appeared to be a bedbug in the sheets in addition to a blood stain. She caught it, bagged and sealed it, and immediately reported it to the hotel who sent up Gabriel, the head of security. He claimed that in his experience, bed bugs are not visible to the human eye (which is untrue). The hotel reached out to Ecolab for an inspection and let us know that it would probably take place on the same day in the afternoon. They then offered us a temporary king bedroom (1621) until another double became available with no further instructions. We asked for plastic bags, packed and sealed our belongings, and left them in room 1525 along with the sealed bug. We bought new clothes and all took hot showers, doing our best as guests to prevent spread. When we asked that our items be heat treated, the hotel said we had to wait for inspection results. Adam, the assistant front office manager, provided us with the information that Ecolab would not be able to provide an inspection until the morning of 07/27, our checkout date. We finally got our new double room, 2313, around 9:43 PM on 07/26. I checked in with management on 07/27 at 8:08 AM about the inspection which they now claimed was in the afternoon. Because we needed to checkout, we insisted that all our clothes be heat treated. Brittany, the manager on site and Vanessa, manager of housekeeping, was able to accomplish that for us. At 1:09, we received a call from Abigail Santos, assistant director of housekeeping, letting us know that our room tested negative for bed bugs. I was relieved to hear the results but when I asked what the bug in the bag was, she told me that Ecolabs said it was probably a mosquito. It was definitely not a mosquito. It turns out they didn't check the bagged bug despite the fact that I mentioned how it was sealed and where it was it to every staff member I spoke to during this whole debacle. Abigail and I went down to 1525 to look at the sealed bug together. She agreed it wasn't a mosquito and let me know that they would do a second inspection. The hotel returned our heat treated belongings and we were ready to check out at 2pm on 07/27. I had a copy of the negative test results, but I also wanted a record that they did not inspect the bug that we found. When I asked the on-site manager Makayla for it, she simply smiled and said it wasn't available and that I'd be emailed the second inspection results. She said ”The first inspection result was negative for an infestation, but we can offer you a one day gift certificate for your frustrations.” I declined the offer. This was infuriating and it made me cry as I never asked for refunds or perks. I simply wanted them to acknowledge their mistake and to have a record of it. I requested that they respond to my text regarding the second inspection and after Makayla texted me that she would email me the results, I left the premises. My friends and

The stay was a disappoin**ent. The swimming pool isn't ready and the room is crampy and small. There's no fridge in the room and room was very noisy at night due to proximity to the ”party deck” on the 8th floor. Breakfast charged was a ripped off, they served fr the Cafe in front of the hotel, and each person was entitled to one ”basic coffee/tea, a pastry and a main item”. For that, the bill came out to be less than usd45 for 2 person, but they charge usd75/pax!! Total not worth recommending and revisiting

The hotel's service from top to bottom is very good, but the air conditioning and heating in the room will make a lot of noise. The rooms in the city center can overlook the Los Angeles landscape, but there is no parking lot of their own, so you need to park in a nearby public parking lot. Other experiences are very good.

AAierdingjumengThe hotel is located in the downtown area. The lobby on the first floor is very lively and the security seems a little poor. There are many restaurants around and it is convenient to travel. The room is relatively large and you can see the Lakers home court.

GGuest UserI rarely write reviews but I have to tell you that I had a terrible service during check in. The guy who was working at the front desk said that he could not find my reservation and then he said it was canceled. I got panicked and told him that it could never happen cause I have never cancelled the reservation and it is still on my Trip.com app, so it must be your fault (I meant hotel) if it was ever canceled. But he bluntly said that he didn't cancel it and told me to figure it out as if it was my fault. I asked him to talk to someone or check again cause it looked like a system error or something to me, but he told me to go somewhere else cause he needs to greet other customer. I was so scared because it was already after 9PM and I had nowhere else to stay. So I called Trip.com customer center, and the agent was nice and prompt to tackle the issue. In the end, she explained that Trip.com used a vendor to make a booking for the hotel, and the hotel did not know that so they could not pull up my reservation until they got another code. But I think it was partially Trip.com's fault by only sending the reservation code that did not work properly.

GGuest UserThere is no sense of security in the neighborhood. Very small lobby, not the concept of the domestic Ritz-Carlton, it seems that the apartment lobby, there is no service, the service such as water has to make a few calls before sending it, I feel that no one is serving the whole hotel.

GGuest UserRoom quality & amenities: The room was nice, spacious and comfortable. They give you a nice desk to work on if you're on a business trip. They have a small pool and a gym in the building but I did not get to use these because work was busy for me that week. I read that another guest had problems connecting their Netflix; it actually was not that bad for me. They use get streaming so you can chrome cast to the TV. Once I connected the Wi-Fi it was easy to start streaming on the TV. I like that better than logging into my account and worrying about forgetting to log back out before I leave. The one thing I really liked about the room was the bed. I'm going mattress shopping now because I haven't slept through out the night like that in ages. I wish I could have packed the bed in my suitcase for the trip home! Comfortable stay hands down. The rooms are fairly quite too; I didn't hear my neighbors at all (only the hallway actually). Cleanliness: The rooms are kept clean. I felt comfortable walking around bare foot even in the shower and sleeping in the bed. They come everyday about midday to clean the rooms. Overall they keep the hotel clean and neat. Dining: I stopped in for breakfast one day; it was made well. Breakfast is my favorite meal, and they did not disappoint. I recommend it before venturing out for the day. The wait staff was attentive and courteous. Also the Grand Cafe has a nice atmosphere to it. I did not eat lunch or dinner here though, so I cannot comment on them. Location: The only real complaint I would have would be the area; which the hotel does not have any control of. It is in the heart of Downtown LA which has a ton of sketchy people walking around at night. I implore anyone staying here to use Uber/Lyft to get around the area and/or Uber eats to order in food. Walking around the area at night is not a good idea! If you do have to venture out; I recommend exiting on the 3rd floor as this area seems less desolate. There is a nice plaza with shops nearby. However, most places close around 6PM so get your shopping and exploring in early. Bar Lounge: I do think they need security at the bar. We stopped in for drinks and I felt bad for the bar tender because she had to deal with all kinds of riff raff that may or may not have been staying at the hotel; not sure. A group of guys started getting really loud and were practically yelling at everyone. If I stay here again I'm not hanging out at the bar. View: If it matters, the view from one side of the hotel faces two apartment buildings so you might not really have a view of the city. To be honest, I like to see a nice view when I open the curtains, not someone's balconies. It would not be a deal breaker for me though. Final thoughts: I would stay here again. However, I did visit my friend who was staying somewhere else and I did like the location and the amenities in that hotel. I do not know if the beds are as comfortable though. Overall, I would not mind staying at OMNI DT

GGuest UserWe were really looking forward to this stay. Unfortunately we had a terrible experience. When we pulled up to the hotel we pulled up to extremely loud noises made by workers on strike. Nobody gave us an advanced notice that there was a strike going on. The restaurant and bar was closed because of the strike which was very inconvenient. The workers or people on strike started making noise at 6am. We had a late night the night prior and because of this we got no sleep. This was an absolute terrible experience and I wish someone would have told us this before we got to the hotel. We feel like we got robbed of our money. Unreal.

GGuest UserI had the pleasure of being assisted by Sylvia. She went above and beyond with assisting me with an early check-in. I’ve traveled to many places and not one took the time to take my number and offered to contact me when a room becomes available! But Sylvia did and I will never forget that!! So helpful and kind over the phone. I was able to check-in with her at the hotel and she was quick and remembered me from our phone conversations of an early check-in. She was great! Thank you Sylvia for your amazing customer service ethics and genuine kindness! It’s people like her that really are the face of the company. I will be back for sure!! I also would like to send a great appreciation and gratitude to the valet! I’m wasn’t able to catch his name but if I could describe him, he was a Mexican man, shorter and was quick as a ninja getting our car to us and the kindest ever! He was amazing and always had a smile on his face even though the weekend we stayed was Pride Week and the hotel was extremely busy! He definitely deserves some recognition as well.

AAnonymous UserThe price of the apartment that Ctrip cooperates with Airbnb is a little better than Airbnb. Airbnb mainly has service fees and cleaning fees, and the number of days is not cost-effective. In downtown, it is suitable for our family to travel for cooking and laundry. There are many places to punch in nearby, very close to the Little Tokyo City Hall. The room is very large with two bedroom suites. The sliding door is separated from each other's privacy protection. The guest restaurant is in the middle. The disadvantage is that the smell of food in the room can't be dissipated, the bed is uncomfortable and the back pain is uncomfortable. I have lived in the United States for more than ten days and this bed is uncomfortable. No one cleans every day without tipping every day, hahaha.
