I took a fancy to the holiday's breakfast, which was quite satisfactory and in line with expectations. The front desk has been busy, and the receptionist apologized for my waiting. I was impressed that the alarm bell rang at 5:00 in the morning. Everyone evacuated to the lobby but could not tell the reason in time. Later, they said that the smoke alarm alarmed and nothing happened. The surrounding environment of the hotel is not good, and homeless people are common.

West Los Angeles
The service and room facilities are very good, the breakfast is also standard. There was a problem with the washbasin on the first day, but we were promptly moved to a new room. Parking is very convenient and you can get on the highway right away. The location is a bit far from the city, but the security nearby is okay. There is a 711 opposite, which is convenient.

Stayed here for a night, sort of a layover driving back from Anaheim back to the Bay Area. Decent free breakfast buffet. Coffee was weak though. It was like getting coffee from the gas stations. We also had to pay $10 for parking. The TV inside the rooms were small and dark. I believe this is an item they need to consider replacing. Kids had fun at the pool, clean and surprisingly, the temperature of the water was very nice. The spa was good too. The other thing we liked was the shampoo, conditioner and shower gel provided in the bathrooms. Conveniently placed in bottles with a pump by the showers. The fixture for the shower though, it was hard to tell which way to turn for hot or cold. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and thought this was a very good value.

I would give the place 3 stars, wife would give 2, thus the 2 rating. I was worried going in seeing the 1 star reviews of late. But it was better than that in my mind. Construction is continuing. While we were there, they actually demolished the front desk (was still there behind a tarp on Saturday, gone by end of day Sunday.....they were using a folding table as the front desk). Carpet in our room was still ancient. Carpet in the hallway was better. An old ice machine made a lot of noise and dripped a bit near the elevators. Furniture in room was old and chipped, but functional and clean enough. Bathroom was OK. Tons of water pressure in shower (wish we could actually turn the water pressure down a bit). Building looked OK from the outside. Breakfast and lobby areas looked OK (but were still undergoing some renovation so dusty). Breakfast was OK, but they never had apple juice available during entire stay (always said out of order). Did have cranberry and orange available). Last day they didn't have plain scrambled eggs available, only pre-made omelets with cheese (disappointing to my wife who doesn't eat cheese). Lots of other choices, both warm and cold, and make your own pancakes. One day we were sitting down to eat and staff came and put down cones and started washing the floor with some smelly water. Didn't say sorry or anything, we just got up and moved far away. Glad the air conditioner had a button to turn the fan on constant, otherwise the on and off would have been annoying at night. Still, never could get temp quite right as either too cold or too hot overnight.

This is an old run down hotel. The fitness center is crappy and most machines are broken. All entries are from the outside, during my visit it rained and water leaked inside. Water also leaked from the shower. What made me most mad is I selected this hotel because of the free breakfast included. When I got to breakfast at 9:17am I was informed by the clerk “we close in 5 minutes” and she was unwilling to make any more breakfast for me, as the current display had been picked nearly 100% clean. Leaving me with no breakfast. She had 1 pancake that had been sitting there for a few minutes (cold) and suggested I just eat that. She went back immediately to playing on her phone. Breakfast ends at 9:30, so no you didn’t close in 5 minutes. You had plenty of time to service the customers who Pay your damn paycheck. Lazy hotel staff. Book elsewhere
