The good news first: The staff could be more professional, but they are all very friendly and courteous. The in-house restaurant deserves special praise: the service and food are absolutely up to the standards of the hotel (4 stars). The condition of the rooms is not up to par: the furniture, although relatively new, looks cheap. The double sliding door to the bathroom does not close properly. It is not possible to close the bathroom off from the room so that it is not visible or soundproof. We had the problem in both rooms. It is completely incomprehensible why such a problem is not remedied. Very unpleasant!

A modern and beautiful hotel in the center of Lörrach. Modern rooms and a very attractive restaurant and bar. The superior rooms on the upper floors offer a great view. The beds are excellent and the rooms and especially the bathrooms are very spacious.

Very centrally located, modern hotel. We had a company event here with a seminar and overnight stay. Everything was very well organized, very friendly staff, the breakfast was very good and there was a wide selection. The hotel bar was great, the bartenders provided great service despite the late hour. The rooms are well equipped and modern. I was personally very pleasantly surprised and can only recommend the hotel.

Four of us visited here at the turn of the year 2022/2023. We booked 4 single rooms with the New Year's Eve package (New Year's Eve menu "kitchen party" from 7 p.m. with live music, party with DJ on the 20th floor from 11 p.m. with midnight snack, breakfast brunch on New Year's Day until 12 p.m.). The booking process was uncomplicated, check-in was smooth, rooms on the 8th floor were almost perfect. Only in two rooms the shower was missing shower gel and the heated towel rails were not clean. The commitment of the employees, who really made you feel welcome as a guest, deserves special mention. We felt excellently served. The design of the evening was very entertaining, as you could get your own food at the beginning from the fire bowl in the hotel garden and then in the hotel kitchen. Drinks were already included in the price of the package.

The stay at the Hotel Stadt Lörrach was fine overall. The rooms are fairly new and the sauna area is very nice. However, the hotel does not place a high priority on service. Some of our rooms were only cleaned once during our four-day stay. When we complained about this, the housekeeping staff replied, "I was on vacation..." The federal police stationed at the hotel did not bother us, but they should also ensure that the food at the breakfast buffet is refilled... When we asked, they also said, "Unfortunately, we don't have any more pancakes and croissants," and that at 8:30 a.m. Perhaps a good way to compensate for this would be to make the sauna available to hotel guests free of charge, as well as other little things that you would expect from a 4-star hotel: bathing slippers, a bottle of water as a welcome, etc.
