Lorhiti - a lovely place to stay on LHI. We stayed at Lorhiti for 8 nights in March - a popular & busy time as the weather is pretty consistently good. The young people who run Lorhiti are all lovely & genuinely caring about you & work hard to ensure the premises are kept as neat & clean as a pin. We liked the location- being near to very pretty Ned’s Beach - which is great if the wind is favourable. It’s not too far to walk into the village in daylight hours although there’s at least one steep hill. We mostly rode bikes which we hired for the week. The apartment is uncluttered, clean & has everything you need to relax & self cater. We self catered for lunch & breakfast & once used the available BBQ at Lorhiti but under the outside lighting got attacked by mosquitoes so went inside. I would have liked to have seen Lorhiti use ecco cleaning products especially given that LHI is a World Heritage listed protected environment. I also didn’t like the cheap plastic cutting ‘board’ which we know results in creating micro plastic- also bad for the environment as it washes down the sink & into the precious sea that LHI is recognised for due to it having the world’s most southern coral reef. I think Lorhiti can lift its standards in these regards given its unique pristine location & also set a higher bar as an example to all who stay here.

Gosh I’m impressed with this place! Small, boutique, everything you need and more - they have really thought it through. I’m so glad I stayed here. The kitchen is excellent (more items and space than my home kitchen!). Adequate bathroom with plenty of towels. Loads of space in the lounge and bedroom, robes, heaters, fans, hairdryer, sarongs, backpacks, beach towels, salt & pepper and olive oil. Wonderful! A front porch and a back patio that leads to a path down to Ned’s beach, 6 minutes away. There’s a free guest laundry, small charge for the dryer - bring $1 coins. I loved the gazebos and the sun lounges out the back in the afternoon were wonderful to read some books in the garden. There are 2 bbqs if you wish to use also. A fully equipped departure lounge for when you check out, and of course return airport transfers are included. Only a 12 minute walk from ‘town’ or hire a bike, though there is a slight steady incline on the road before the driveway. I can’t thank you enough for making my stay wonderful. I will be back, with my partner next time.

We had such a great stay at Lorhiti. The room was very spacious and clean. The lodge is beautiful and gardens are very well maintained. The location is ideal with a short stroll through the garden path direct to Ned's Beach, our favourite beach on the island. Owners Kathi and Fletcher really looked after us and we couldn't recommend this lodge enough!

We've stayed with Fletch & Kathi twice now & we're already discussing our 3rd visit. We love the closeness to Ned's Beach, (there's a direct private path where you walk under huge Banyan trees that act as Torri Gates) where you can snorkel with amazing array of fish, turtles & even an occasional Galapagos shark or swim till your hearts content. You can walk to the main lagoon where there's plenty to do & eat, the bush walks to the Valley of Shadows, the Clear Place & Malabar are also handy. Our unit was again beautiful & quiet, very clean & has a really comfy bed. We cooked in our unit & there's a BBQ in the rear courtyard also. Added to all this is the sound of Ned's providing some lovely ambience into the night & early morning. .

The Lorhiti Apartments are a great place to stay. We paid $500 AUD per night. The apartments are a good size with everything we needed. Wi-Fi was fine. While we did not cook, you certainly could. Everything was very clean. The grounds of the Lorhiti are great for hanging out and lounging around. The staff were around most mornings and are easily approachable. Lane was very nice and helpful. She also picked us up at the airport and told us about the island. Here’s how Dinner transportation works. You make your own dinner reservations. Lorhiti will depart at 6pm and take the guests to their restaurant. The restaurant will take you back. I highly recommend dinner at the Golf Course. The Brewery is a great outdoor spot and seems popular with the locals. I would pass on the Bowls Club. From Lorhiti, you can easily walk to Ned’s Beach but an only little further away is Middle Beach which you’ll likely have to yourself. Check out the Crooked Post, the Wednesday movie about the island in the community hall and hike up to Kim’s Lookout! LHI is great expense place to visit and I look forward to returning. Highly Recommend: Dinner at the Golf Course. Pizza at The Brewery Visit Middle Beach Have a drink at the Crooked Post Attend the Wednesday movie about the island in the community hall Hike up to Kim’s Lookout!

Lorhiti apartments exceeded our expectations. These units are super clean and spacious, very comfortable. the units are located in a very nice part of LHI, walking distance from Ned's beach which is a best beach on the island with amazing snorkeling and fish feeding. The friendly staff are waiting for you at the airport and take you with the courtesy bus to the apartments. The Island is incredibly beautiful, even in winter we managed to go snorkeling at Ned's beach it was about 20 degrees. there is a shack where you can hire a wetsuit through honesty system. We had a car as I was carrying an injury, but it very easily doable on a bike as well.

Lorhiti provided us with wonderful accomodation. So very clean and a spacious one bedroom apartment, along with a bed that was so very comfortable. The welcome supplies - chocolate, tea, coffee etc were great to have until we could get to the local shop. The pick up and drop off to the airport works so well along with the drop off at restaurants for dinner at night. Thank you to Fletcher and Kathi for all their organisation. Easy access by foot or bike to shops and cafes. Lorhiti is on the hill but easy enough to manage biking or walking the last little bit of the hill. We loved the location - so very peaceful and idyllic with nothing to hear but the swaying palms and bird life. One of our favourite activities at Lord Howe was feeding the fish at Ned’s Beach. The walk down to Ned’s was by a private track from Lorhiti which is lined with beautiful vegetation and plants. We made good use of the BBQ facilities after my husband had been fishing. Unfortunately our time on Lord Howe was reduced due to airline problems and weather but we really enjoyed the 4 nights we had. Would love to return to Lord Howe one day and would definitely stay at Lorhiti again.

Very special place to stay on magnificent Lord Howe Island. Thanks to Danny and Jemima for making our stay fabulous - from the pick up at the airport and mini-tour, to the nightly drop offs for dinner, as well as great recommendations for everything on the island. Apartments were spacious, really clean and well cared for and the gardens were the same. Loved sitting in the beautiful garden watching the birds and admiring the plants. Just a short walk to stunning Ned’s Beach and a pretty easy walk of bike ride to everything else.
