We strongly advise against staying at the Hotel Spoorzicht Loppersum. It starts with the fact that you only find the extra costs for using the wellness & spa area so advertised after looking twice. At least that's the case with ************ On the way to the hotel, while reading the booking confirmation, my wife noticed it. Not so bad, we thought. The 12.50 euros per person would be worth it to us to be able to use the pool and possibly the whirlpool. Then the somewhat irritating realization that you were only allowed to enter the entire spa area after 11 a.m. WITHOUT clothing. Until closing time at 10 p.m. A call made immediately brought certainty. Wearing swimwear is only permitted from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Coincidentally during breakfast time...breakfast per person is 19.50 euros!! The request to let us cancel was rejected. So we resigned ourselves to our fate and also to the fact that we didn't want to use the spa area, even though we had booked the hotel specifically for that reason. When we arrived, we were assigned a room in the adjacent "new building", which turned out to be a 16 square meter shithole. Almost all rooms are offered with 24 square meters. In the uncleaned shower there were several smudges of toothpaste on the ground. There was an empty bag of chips in a drawer. There was exactly ONE paper cup for making coffee/tea at the advertised location. An armchair was marred on the side with a large, dried stain of milky color. (It was later claimed that it was wax...there are no candles) The "balcony" was equipped with 2 completely dirty chairs, a dirty table and a dirty ashtray. There was no railing (it only goes down 30 cm), the floor was completely dirty and there was rubbish right in front of it. Since we suspected that we had only been given this room in this form because of our telephone request to cancel and we didn't want any further disagreements, we ordered a pizza (which was very good by the way) to the hotel and decided never to go to this hole again to come back.

The hotel is in a quiet location. The train station is only a few minutes away. Don't worry, there is NO noise pollution. A tip: definitely take the train for a trip to Groningen! We stayed in this hotel for 6 nights. We received a very friendly welcome and were able to have a good conversation in German. English of course no problem either. The room was the best! Clean, spacious, with balcony (village and church view), kettle for tea and coffee, bathroom with walk-in shower and quite large. The beds were very comfortable. Large flat screen TV of course available. We ate dinner at the hotel several times. Again very friendly service and delicious food. We ate well and plentifully (with delicious beer) in a very nice atmosphere. The wellness area is very nice and has a jacuzzi, indoor pool, steam bath and various saunas and has a very nice outdoor area. In the afternoon especially only for nudists. The breakfast buffet fulfilled all our wishes. Here, too, we were very satisfied. Our thanks go to the entire service team!!! We can only recommend the hotel!

Wij verbleven in dit hotel als Enjoy gasten. Even wennen aan de formule, maar die is eigenlijk heel prima. Goed ontbijt Over het diner geen klagen. Dat was prima. We hebben 1 x geluncht. Die was prima. 1x hebben we zelf een lunch pakketje gemaakt. Fijne sauna en er is veel te doen voor de gasten. De high tea en de wijnproeverij en de busreis hebben we overgeslagen. Qua prijs en kwaliteit helemaal oké.

Ik had een superior kamer in het nieuwe gedeelte van het hotel. Beide matrassen hadden helaas een enorme kuil dus ik wil er niet eens aan denken hoe lang die al meegaan, er waren geen mokken/glazen voor een kopje thee, slechts twee miezerige papieren bekertjes en het was behoorlijk gehorig. Voor de prijs die gevraagd werd (156e voor 1 nacht incl ontbijt) vond ik het daarom ver, ver ondermaats en past dit meer bij een budget hotel. Positief: de kamer was schoon, het ontbijt was prima!
