First impressions were the beauty of the surrounding countryside, and the helpfulness of staff. It turned out all the staff were like that during my three-night stay. Nothing was too much trouble. The single room was lovely, with a large en suite. Everything warm, comfortable and tastefully decorated. For an elderly person to exit the shower safely, a grab rail would be an improvement. I didn't eat there at any other time, but the breakfasts were fine, with a generous choice of times, 7 to 9, I think. Parking was spacious and very near the entrance. This was an excellent base for exploring country and coast, and I would definitely stay here again.
