Nhow London

This was our first visit to the nhow. It did not meet expectations. The entrance stank of rotten rubbish which was constant at all hours on our arrival, going out and on checking out, also in reception area dependant on breeze direction. I chose this hotel as it looked quirky and fun. The decor was vibrant and our room was plush. On arrival being told your only staying with us for 1 night, I felt was rude It may only be for one night but shouldn't matter how many nights we were staying for. In room 510 the curtains did not meet in the middle and had a 4 inch gap? We told reception on our way out at 4.30pm and were told maintenance would have a look. On our return at 11pm I checked to see if they were fixed, no... we were told maintenance don't work at this hour. Again rude, was simply kindly asking if they had been fixed. So we went to the room with one of the reception staff to show her. Ended up being offered the room next door 509, so packed up and moved at 11.30pm. Same room type standard twin. But what differences ... feeling very let down. Room 510 had miniature toiletries while 509 had proper pump bottles with extra hand lotion etc. 510 had slippers 509 did not. 510 had cheap teabags, 509 had luxury ones! For the price I paid I don't feel a valued customer at all. Also 509 had a massive leak in the bathroom everytime we used the shower. Reception need to be approachable and much kinder, I think they were staff training but just so abrupt. Matress and pillows were quality, very comfortable. Breakfast was lovely! Staff worked as a team, great choice and AMAZING staff 5*, they couldn't of been more helpful and polite. Lastly, each door has a proper door knocker on it which everyone can hear on the same floor, especially in the early hours of the morning.
Claverley Court Apartments Knightsbridge

Knightsbridge
The executive 1 bedroom room with a price 380£ per night didn’t match description and picture on the internet. The given room (703) was on the ground floor (what corresponds with the website description of the “deluxe 1 bedroom”). The given room didn’t fall under the category of “executive” at all. The only window in the bedroom opened into a narrow dark shaft, diameter 1,5 m, you can’t see even the peace of the sky, only 4 walls with loud ventilation installments. Their volume was loud even with the window shut, therefore it would be impossible to sleep in a room like that. It was also impossible to ventilate the bedroom with fresh air (the apartment smelt badly). The small window in the living room looking out at Harrod's Parking lot. (website says this “hotel offer the very best in 5 star luxury London, all apartments face east and west to maximise light” and etc.) The general manager Vitor Medeiros told me that it was the only room available in the apartment building. He offered me 2 rooms in another building (25 min by walk from the booked apartment, in another district, which I didn’t like), one of them was a category below (cheaper and quality was worse), for the second he asked me to extra pay £900, which was ridiculous. I requested that he returns the paid money for the room, and he claimed that he wasn’t authorized to answer these kinds of questions. I asked to speak to another person who is authorised but he didn’t give me any information. I moved to a different hotel, and I did not spend the nights at this apartment (as I repeat, it would be impossible to sleep in). I sent 2 complaints by email but no one answered me.

This hotel is deluxe but yet warm and inviting. The rooms and baths are gorgeously decorated. The showers are strong and toiletries are deliciously scented so be sure to have enough room in your luggage to purchase some for home. The towels are thick and fluffy and the beds are heavenly. Top of line linens. The location can’t be beat for walking to lots of restaurants, theaters, museums, sights and other neighborhoods. Plenty of transport options. Great coffee shop across the street and breakfast/smoothy places a few doors away. The BEST part of the hotel is the hotel staff. Augustino, the concierge went out of his way to be helpful, even walking us to the Elizabeth line as we were over burdened with purchases. His assistants, Nicky who gave us fabulous recommendations and travel tips and Huzaifa who did the same. We can't speak more highly about the hotel but more importantly-the people.

The room is large, very clean, the kitchen can be used, kitchen utensils are readily available, and the front desk service is good. The surrounding environment is quiet and it takes 5-10 minutes to walk to the subway station.

This was our second night at this hotel as we had enjoyed our visit so much we stayed longer than originally planned. All was good, as previously reviewed, except that on this occasion we had little sleep due to constant noise from outside the hotel which went on until it was almost morning. It was a Friday night though, so probably to be expected given the hotel’s location. We should have taken earplugs! We would certainly stay here again, but maybe not at the weekend.
Mercure London Earls Court

As a 4 star hotel the rooms should have basic things like water and bathroom amenities. However, the barnaby restaurant had great food. I was served by a lovely lady called Noura who looked after me and my family. She always recommended us the best dishes and was quick to meet our needs.
