Apple House Guesthouse Heathrow Airport

Heathrow
Booked two rooms for a one night stay as this place is near to the viewing area at Heathrow airport. Unfortunately neither of us slept much due to poor quality matresses and thin curtains letting the light in. Also the walls are paper thin so you can hear everthing from the next room. The man that checked us in did not speak much english and seemed in a rush to get away. My room seemed clean but my friends was not, hairs and stuff in the bed. The tray with tea and coffee had no milk and the kettle was very dirty. One sachet of coffee was provided but this was a 3in1 which contained sugar. Plenty of tea bags, a few sugar sachets but no use without milk. We arrived too late to do much about any of the complaints and the man did not seem to speak english anyway, and we left at 0600 and there was no one around. On the plus side both rooms had a fan provided. My view, pay a little extra and stay elsewhere.

Had asked for a baby cot but that hadn’t made it through to hotel. However, at reception, the lady said she’d have one delivered to room ASAP - by the time we’d finished checking in and got to our room, house keeping had already delivered it! Very impressive. Complimentary mini bar with a couple of beers, 2 whisky’s and soft drinks. Nice touch. Room service good. And obviously right next to T5 so the morning journey to check in is about 3 minutes!
