Location is great, very close to King’s Cross station and St. Pancras station. Many attractions such as The British Museum, Convent Garden, Coal Drop Yard etc. are all in a walkable distance.
However, due to the heat wave, extremely hot weather, while waiting for check in at the lobby, the waiting queue is super long, it was very hot and unbreathable.
There is also no AC or fan in the room, and no fridge. With a strap tied to the window, we could only open a small gap, not enough for the oxygen to enter the room. It was too hot during the night, the room was like an oven, we couldn’t sleep, had to get to the lobby to ask for a solution, the staffs said that they have fan for borrow, but that night they already lended it all out. They marked our room number and said will deliver a fan to our room the next night, but the other night after we get back to our room we did not see any fan in our room. Lastly, the lock of our bathroom is broken.
The room was quite small; with two beds, there was barely any space to move around.
**Cleanliness:** This was genuinely poor. The bedsheets had visible stains and marks, and they weren't changed once during my entire 6-day stay. When the bed was made, it was obvious the duvet had been thrown on the floor, as the sheets picked up carpet fibers and hair – it was frankly disgusting.
Even the drinking glasses weren't cleaned daily; I'd return after a day out to find they hadn't been replaced with fresh ones. I called the front desk, and a staff member came in, just quickly rinsed the glass by hand, and seemed to think that was perfectly acceptable.
Our first night on the top floor was sweltering. We promptly switched to the second floor for our second night, which was a vast improvement – it was much cooler there. The location is truly excellent, conveniently situated right by Euston Station and the University of London. Major attractions such as the Tower of London, Tower Bridge, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, the London Eye, the British Museum, the British Library, Hyde Park, and Buckingham Palace are all within easy reach.

Great location as usual. Is just 10 min walk from the new Elizabeth line which go directly to Heathrow Airport. Reception is great. Just that there is a small steps from main entrance to the reception where you need to pick up your own luggage. Other than that, there is lift access to your own floor. Room is slightly small with some mild mold odour. However, bed and pillow is good. I would come back again but maybe ask for another room next time.
This hotel was so close to Euston station, made catching my early morning train much smoother! The room was small, but comfortable. The breakfast had a good amount of choice, including non-dairy milk for coffee or cereal.
The location is perfect for travelers. The bedding and facilities are really clean. They have lockers available if you want to leave your stuffs while going around even after check out. Will definitely choose it again if I travel to London!
The room is very large and tidy, near the subway station, travel is very methodical. Although there is no front desk, there is a 24-hour online customer service and the response speed is very fast.
We stayed here for one night for a Jin concert at the 02 . On arrival we were a bit early but after a short wait the nicest reception guy ( name unsure) found a twin room which was ready for us to check in ,on the 3rd floor, lovely room ,room 369 ,nice view of a park ,huge room, large tv ,everything was spotless, breakfast was amazing and huge amounts to pick from .. same guy checked us out the following morning and even asked if we enjoyed the concert, lovely staff and we shall definitely use again
The room size was decent, easily accommodating both a 22-inch and 24-inch suitcase. The bathroom included toiletries, and daily housekeeping was quite prompt. While the hair dryer and kettle were a bit dusty (and the kettle, in particular, had noticeable limescale), they were easy to clean yourself. For filtered water, there's a dispenser in the ground floor corridor towards the National Royal Hotel.
The front desk staff during check-in were somewhat unenthusiastic/indifferent, but they do offer free luggage storage.
The hotel is within walking distance of the British Museum, and there are convenient bus stops right outside.
From Heathrow, take the Piccadilly Line (the blue line) to Russell Square station. Be advised that after exiting the train, you'll still need to climb a flight of stairs before you can access the elevator to street level!
Downsides: The room lacked air conditioning and a refrigerator. Being street-facing, it wasn't particularly quiet. If these are important to you, you might want to consider other options.
Great location, staff were friendly, luggage storage available. I stayed in a single room with a shared bathroom but no problem regarding bathrooms because there were a few near my room and they were clean and comfortable. Window was a bit old but still closes properly. Only problem I had was with the sound-proofing. The guests beside my room were unfortunately loud and you could hear them chatter. So I'd suggest to bring earplugs if you want to stay at this hotel

Amazing
TTongtong1221The room was decent but quite small, around 20-25 square meters. It did have a full-length mirror, which was handy. The window was also small, but it didn't really bother us as we were out for most of the day. If you prefer spacious rooms, you might want to consider other options!
The hotel is a bit old, but the overall quality of materials used in the rooms and public areas was still quite good.
Breakfast was pretty standard. While they offered the option to order à la carte for an extra fee if you weren't satisfied, I still wished the complimentary breakfast could have been more varied.
The best thing about this hotel was definitely its location. It's incredibly close to the subway station (about 200 meters) and the British Museum (a 6-7 minute walk). It's also very near King's Cross/St. Pancras Station (I believe it's just one subway stop away).
We encountered a few minor issues right after check-in, but Trip.com's customer service was excellent, and the hotel's service was good too!
GGuest UserIt is very close to the British Museum, which can be reached in eight minutes on foot. There are also many supermarkets and restaurants around, which makes life very convenient. The apartment has a kitchen, so you can make some simple food. It is very close to the subway station, so it is convenient to go anywhere.
MMacFeeLovely hotel in a great central location for everything wanted to do. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The choice for breakfast was excellent and we ate in the restaurant one evening and again, the food was lovely. Will definitely be staying here again.
AAnonymous UserWhen comrades check in, they will tell the front desk reception.I prefer to stay in a room with GOOD LAYOUT AND WINDOW VIEW. first.
Or GOOD LAYOUT, GOOD WINDOW VIEW.
Give me a special room, outside the window is the building, the bathroom is in a corner. I asked to change the room and change to a normal layout of the road, two windows of the room. The first floor is cold, if you can carry luggage, ask for the location upstairs. The first floor is breakfast, you have to find the waiter order to order.
btw location is very good, it is very convenient to go to the British Museum, walk for five minutes, various cafes nearby
GGuest UserThe room and overall facilities felt quite dated. My window unfortunately overlooked a refuse collection point, and I was often disturbed by the noise and beeping of garbage trucks early in the mornings. Cleanliness was only average.
The main redeeming factor is definitely the location, which is fantastic for tourists. It's just a 3-minute walk to Russell Square tube station. There's also a convenience store and a vibrant street with plenty of dining options, including a Nando's, right nearby.
CChenaishijie_I personally feel it's OK. The room is bigger than I expected, and there are kettles and hair dryers. The shower in the bathroom is not very good, and it's hard to adjust the hot and cold water, but you can take a bath. The heating can be turned on and adjusted by yourself, and the heating effect is OK. However, the hotel does not provide slippers, and there is no place to buy them nearby, so I can only make do with two plastic bags for a few nights.
NNeilJHotel Cavendish in London is a wonderful stay! The modern decor and cozy atmosphere create a lovely environment. My room was spacious and well-appointed, providing great comfort. Its central location made exploring the city easy and convenient. The attentive staff added a personal touch to my experience. I highly recommend.
QQIONGThe location is very good, it is very convenient to go there, there are many thieves in the UK, we must pay great attention to the location of the hotel is close to all the attractions, so the thief is also more
GGuest UserGood location. Unfortunately as it’s underground so very smelly on the way go to the rooms. Quiet and no windows but good price which is suitable for me as I only need a place to sleep at night and I booked in last minute
The only thing I wasn’t happy with this booking was because of the reception staff.
I booked and paid for 4 people with 2 beds in a room. When I arrived he only asked how many people I said 2 as my friends cannot make it . He didn’t say anything else but changed my booking to 1 bed in a room which isn’t fair as I paid for bigger room so even only myself came I still deserve the original room, or if he wanna save the place for new booking he should confirm with me if I allow him to do so. And he wasn’t nice to me as other 2 receptionists I met the next day.
I kept the smaller room and didn’t ask to change because I arrived around 10pm & felt exhausted and took like 15mins to come back the reception cuz there is only one lift. But when I do check out I already mentioned - not to claim back anything but would like to improve things if in future I have chance to come back here as I normally booked in last minute and choose a place depending on prices + location
I booked with Zedwell in London couple times but normally I stayed in Piccadilly Circus and always happy as clean nice room, good location closed to china town, multiple lifts don’t have to wait long, check in check out system very easy to use but receptionists always happy to help which is a big thanks
