Start with the good: the staff was very nice, the capsule comfortable (great bed) and I was lucky to get a quiet room of respectful people.
And the bad: the worst thing is the showers. Aside from being crammed, the button push lasts 5-6 seconds (counted), which means you're constantly pushing and getting a mix of cold or scalding how water. Please fix your showers! It was also clogged and flooded quickly. I think the toilets/shower areas could use cleaning more often. There is no public space, tables, etc. at all, you come here just to sleep or rest in your capsule.
Better than what most other hostels offer (some not even having curtains!) and a better night sleep for sure, but no mingling. Also not much space for shoes or luggage, and certainly no safe lockers. It could be so much better if they had made some space for this. Would also be nice to be able to pick top/bottom bunk: being on the bottom I was woken up by banging/dropping items/etc. by the guest above me.
Overall good, better than most in the area, but it could easily be better still :)

This is a hotel that has always been on our list of must-stay hotels in life. After staying there for one night, I feel that its advantages and disadvantages are very clear. The hardware is absolutely top-notch, and the location is first-class. You can walk to the British Museum and Chinatown. The old building is superimposed with magnificent soft furnishings, and the sense of design, history and story are all full. The most trustworthy thing about the magnificent hotels in various regions is the comfort of the room. Although I stayed in an ordinary business room with simple decoration this time, it was really comfortable to sleep in. The support of the mattress is in place, the wool curtains are thick and light-blocking, the temperature control is very accurate, and the humidity is just right. Let's talk about the service. The service staff at the front desk and the breakfast room are very professional and enthusiastic. Although there is an additional service charge for breakfast, it is worth it. There is also a choice of Chinese dim sum taro cake wonton noodles for breakfast. The only thing that made us not feel enthusiastic was the doorman and luggage service. I don’t know if it was because of insufficient manpower or unreasonable workload distribution. Anyway, it was generally cold and perfunctory, which reduced the points a bit.

The hotel is located in a very convenient location, 5 mins walk to Holborn Station and Covent Garden Station, making it extremely easy to get around central London. The property itself is very clean and the room is very quiet, no noise whatsoever day or night. Staffs are very friendly and there is even laundry facilities in the basement! Always a bonus when you are traveling with families and kids. I will for sure return when I visit London again!!
Super location and welcome hospitality. We got a wonderful welcome drink at the beautiful lobby lounge. Room is fabulous, clean and stylish. We also tried the restaurant which has excellent food. Will definitely recommend and will go back.
The hotel is centrally located and close to several tube stations. The room was efficient but did not feel crowded. Very clean. It had a small kitchen area tucked in near the door with sink, microwave, fridge, plates and flatware, and coffee and tea. The hotel doesn't have dining facilities or a bar, but you can give the front desk a breakfast order for the next day. My room overlooked a fairly busy street. I was impressed that I did not hear street noise in my room. Very reasonably priced. I would definitely stay here again.
On arrival staff were friendly and helpful, room was clean just a little small but overall was very comfortable. Staff were on hand if I had any questions would definitely come back and stay again. Very good location.
Staff at The Waldorf are incredibly attentive to any / all needs.
I asked for a later checkout and plates for food early in the morning after a night out and they accommodated that for us.
The hotel is placed in a prime location, just a stones throw from Covent Garden and about 28-30 minutes walk from Regent Street. The hotel is only accessible by key card after hours; to ensure guest safety.
Amenities in the room included an iron and board, kettle, drinking glasses and coffee / tea cups. The shower had fixed shampoo, conditioner and soap dispensers.
The mini bar was fairly priced for central London, but hadn't been cleaned (hence the slightly lower score on cleanliness).
The air conditioning dried my throat out throughout the night, but turns off automatically if the window is open, so had to deal with that / just had water next to the bed throughout the night.
The downstairs bar had a great atmosphere and boasts a large menu. Great for a late nightcap.
Overall the experience was great. Our Queen room cost £179.00 for the night (excluding breakfast). I was offered two forms of upgrades. A larger Queen Room with breakfast included was only an extra £40.00, and a Kings Suite with access to the executive lounge and breakfast was £80.00 extra.
Stayed twice in a short period of time
Advantages:
- Central location
- Large and comfortable room, air conditioning and heating are very useful, flowers, fruits, chocolates and juice are provided
- My companions had difficulty walking for a few days, and the hotel also prepared a gift box with muscle relief cream, snacks and poker (?)
- Friendly concierge service
- Generally quiet at night, only one night I heard loud music from the street downstairs
Can be improved:
- Breakfast service standards are not very standardized: sometimes you have to wait for a few minutes before someone takes you to your seat, sometimes butter and jam are provided, sometimes not, and sometimes only provided when requested; the staff can't remember the room number
- The room service mistakenly took our own tableware as hotel tableware and took it back, and called the next day to find it back
- Two times, one of the dial phones in the room was not working, one was not connected, and the other could not make calls
- The magnetic door of the bedroom makes a loud noise when opening and closing at night, and it is better to add a buffer sound insulation *****
- The laundry service is also relatively slow, and it is not returned the next day. It was returned after communicating with the front desk
- The bathroom is a little cold after taking a shower
- Some of the decorative paintings in one of the rooms are a little creepy

Amazing
CChuchenxiaojiejie-A quiet hotel in the middle of noisy, the location is very convenient, go out is the popular neighborhood and Chinatown. Arrived at 12 o'clock in the middle of the night, the front desk staff is also particularly enthusiastic. The decoration style of the lobby and bedroom of this hotel is particularly liked. The hotel is very careful, handwritten cards, and complimentary notebooks are worth taking away.
LLondon 2023First of all, it is located in the Soho area, so it is very convenient to go to London's sightseeing spots. It is convenient because there are many nearby restaurants, such as 3 minutes on foot from the subway station, 2 minutes from Tesco, and 7 minutes from Chinatown. I thought it would be inconvenient because there was no restaurant, but there were many places to eat nearby, so I felt that it was better not to have a restaurant. The bedroom wasn't too small and there was adequate space, and simple food could be eaten using a microwave. The hot water came out very well. The staff at check-in was very kind, and the concierge was very kind, such as the first train on the subway on Sundays. If I go to London again, I will definitely visit again. thought
GGuest UserThe hotel is very centralized. Walkable distance to most of the tourist attractions like Big Ben, Buckingham Palace etc. size of room is small but it's okay for a solo traveller. There is also a police station right opposite the hotel which makes you feel safer. There are also alot of restaurants and pubs around. Subways are also walkable. Definitely worth a stay.
GGuest UserMy wife and I had a stay at Mimis recently, and overall, we enjoyed it and would stay there again. However, I suggest doing some research beforehand, as the rooms are quite tiny. Even though we were aware of this before arriving, we were still a bit surprised by just how small they were. Despite this, it didn't negatively impact our experience or spoil our stay. The room and bathroom was nicely decorated.
I only have a few minor observations rather than complaints. Upon check-in, we requested a late check-out, but the person at the reception seemed a bit abrupt, as he did with an older couple in front of us who had questions about their room location in the annex and that they hoped to stay in the main building. The pillows provided were not very supportive, as they deflated to almost nothing. If we had stayed for more than one night and asked for extra pillows, they would have been accommodating.
Regarding breakfast, we inquired about the options available and were informed that they offered coffee and pastries. Unfortunately, they couldn't provide hot food, which was a bit disappointing. It would have been nice to have the choice of continental-style breakfast with cold meats and other items; we would have been willing to pay for it as we only wanted somthing light.
Despite these very small things, they did not affect our overall enjoyment of the stay. We still had a pleasant time, and we are looking forward to returning to Mimis in the future. Location is great!
JJIJUNAbout five minutes from Chinatown, the location is very good, quiet in the middle of noisy. The same 17-square-meter room is much more spacious than the Hilton Hotel near Paddington. Breakfast is a regular croissant breakfast with milk, coffee, juice, bread, poached eggs, bacon, sausage and hash browns. The most important thing is to walk to Bond Street and the shopping mall Sey Fridge is also ten minutes. The price is really high, I will book this hotel again next time I come to the UK.
MMartin newtVery good location and the apartment was more than we expected very pleased . Everything you need within a few minutes walk. Lots of shops and restaurants. Couldn't wish for better place .
SSh3rry_WExcellent location. The rooms are small but very clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. The tea and coffee station in the lounge area was always well-maintained, and being able to take a cup to go for free was a nice touch. Overall, a wonderful place to stay.
GGuest UserIt was so small that we could barely open two suitcases.
The shower had no steps, so the water flowed all the way into the toilet.
There was no tissue paper, which was inconvenient.
However, the location was good. I felt at ease because there was a Japanese person at the front desk.
GGuest UserThe W London is conveniently located near Leicester Square in walking distance of Tottenham Court Road and the Elizabeth line to and from Heathrow Airport. It’s very close to many theatres and shows and steps away from Chinatown. Service was exceptional, including at breakfast. Housekeeping was amazing. Just be prepared to deal with crowds outside the hotel in the evenings. It’s a busy area.
