Central location. Walked to parks, theatre & train stations. The outside & entrance are still looking like a building site. The entrance and reception area are small considering how many peoples the building can accomodate. The receptionist is friendly & helpful though. Once entering the lift & living area which are clean and mordern. Felt a bit dark in the common cocoon area- may be few pictures in the wall will give this place some characteristics. If the company can create a common mingle area, which will be appreciated as it has quite international feel in the cocoon area.
The shower area is a bit like the shower block when I go camping and caravanning. Clean and modern, but the shower head is terrible and splashing water everywhere- even in the suppose to be dry area! ( may be the face downward shower heads will be more suitable for that small area.). In general, I am happy with my one night stay with a small rucksack L. Value for money.

Pros: Room looks new and clean. Very comfortable bed and pillow. Complete kitchenette including dish wash and sponge, kitchen towel all provided. The best part is free laundry with dryer.
Cons: Room is a bit small. After fitting 2 big luggages there's not much space to walk around. Housekeeping is on every 4th day of stay. No amenities like slipper and toothbrush (probably need to request from front desk).
Location: slightly further but still within walking distance to covent garden, Leicester square, chinatown and other attractions nearby. But because of this the room is very quiet and can sleep better.
The Zedwell Hotel is very conveniently located, right in the heart of the bustling and noisy Piccadilly Circus. Surprisingly, the rooms are exceptionally well soundproofed. I believe the windowless concept contributed to a peaceful, undisturbed sleep.
The room itself is extremely basic—just a bed, toilet, and towels. There’s no kettle, hot water, or tea/coffee provided. Housekeeping is not included during the stay, although the cleaning staff did knock on our door on the second day to confirm our check-out time. The shower area tends to get quite wet as it’s only separated by a small partition.
I stayed in a room for three people, and it was fairly spacious. However, a key point to note: the hotel does not offer complimentary luggage storage. They charge £15 per bag, which can be quite costly and inconvenient if you're travelling with family as you have to find alternative storage nearby.
We also opted for and paid for late check-out, but unfortunately encountered an issue. When we returned from breakfast, we were unable to access our room due to a technical fault with the key cards. It took over 30 minutes for the staff to resolve the issue and allow us back in—essentially losing part of our paid extension, we were not clear if the time could be extended due to their error. I hope the hotel can improve the clarity and flexibility of their processes to better support guests in such situations.
Overall, if you’re looking for a minimalist stay in a central location and don’t require luggage storage, extra amenities, or early check- in (15 min early, without a fee) or late check-out options(without a fee), Zedwell could work well. Otherwise, you might want to explore other nearby hotels that offer a little more comfort and flexibility.

Facilities: The room is equipped with a washbasin, wardrobe, desk, public toilet and kitchen. Although the room is small and the bed is small, it is enough for one person to live in. Hygiene: clean and tidy. Environment: The overall environment is good. Service: Breakfast is included, which is quite rich. Check in after 3 o'clock. If you arrive early, you can store your luggage for free on the first floor below.
The service attitude is really very good. The location is also very good, in Chinatown. It is very lively at night, but the sound insulation is very good, so don't worry. The room is really clean and not too small. There is also a small refrigerator and a safe. It is really rare to have such a hotel price and service in the center of London.
The first hotel in London, very cost-effective.
Facilities: hair dryer, air conditioning, toiletries are available, toothbrush, toothpaste and slippers need to be prepared by yourself
Hygiene: the room is cleaned every 2 days, and you can tell the front desk if the towels need to be changed every day
Environment: 2 minutes from the subway station, very convenient, there are many places to eat around, there are supermarkets, and there are coffee shops on the corners. It's a great place to buy something and have breakfast!
Service: Luggage storage cannot be overnight, a bit regrettable
Strand Palace London - December Stay Review
I had a wonderful stay at Strand Palace in December. The single room was comfortable, offering a cozy space to relax after a day out in the city. The bathroom and shower were excellent, with Ritual brand shower gel, conditioner, shampoo, and lotion adding a luxurious touch.
The room came well-equipped with thoughtful amenities like a cupboard, umbrella, locker, and was spotlessly clean. I appreciated the cookies, quality tea packets, and coffee provided, which made for a lovely treat during my stay.
The location is fantastic, just a 7-minute walk to the nearest underground station, with easy access to buses, making it incredibly convenient to explore London.
Strand Palace strikes a great balance between comfort, quality service, and prime location—highly recommended!
The location is amazing and the rooftop restaurant has awesome views.
All the staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. I can't praise them enough.
The room was very clean and the AC was fantastic 😅
My son has food allergies and I am vegan but we managed to have a decent breakfast and they had plenty choice of dairy free milk.
The only thing would be a small shelf/storage in the bathroom because there was nowhere to put toiletries, but wasn't a big deal. And there was no TV, I didn't care about that, but my teenager felt differently haha.
I'd definitely stay again.
Staff at The Waldorf are incredibly attentive to any / all needs.
I asked for a later checkout and plates for food early in the morning after a night out and they accommodated that for us.
The hotel is placed in a prime location, just a stones throw from Covent Garden and about 28-30 minutes walk from Regent Street. The hotel is only accessible by key card after hours; to ensure guest safety.
Amenities in the room included an iron and board, kettle, drinking glasses and coffee / tea cups. The shower had fixed shampoo, conditioner and soap dispensers.
The mini bar was fairly priced for central London, but hadn't been cleaned (hence the slightly lower score on cleanliness).
The air conditioning dried my throat out throughout the night, but turns off automatically if the window is open, so had to deal with that / just had water next to the bed throughout the night.
The downstairs bar had a great atmosphere and boasts a large menu. Great for a late nightcap.
Overall the experience was great. Our Queen room cost £179.00 for the night (excluding breakfast). I was offered two forms of upgrades. A larger Queen Room with breakfast included was only an extra £40.00, and a Kings Suite with access to the executive lounge and breakfast was £80.00 extra.
My wife and I had a stay at Mimis recently, and overall, we enjoyed it and would stay there again. However, I suggest doing some research beforehand, as the rooms are quite tiny. Even though we were aware of this before arriving, we were still a bit surprised by just how small they were. Despite this, it didn't negatively impact our experience or spoil our stay. The room and bathroom was nicely decorated.
I only have a few minor observations rather than complaints. Upon check-in, we requested a late check-out, but the person at the reception seemed a bit abrupt, as he did with an older couple in front of us who had questions about their room location in the annex and that they hoped to stay in the main building. The pillows provided were not very supportive, as they deflated to almost nothing. If we had stayed for more than one night and asked for extra pillows, they would have been accommodating.
Regarding breakfast, we inquired about the options available and were informed that they offered coffee and pastries. Unfortunately, they couldn't provide hot food, which was a bit disappointing. It would have been nice to have the choice of continental-style breakfast with cold meats and other items; we would have been willing to pay for it as we only wanted somthing light.
Despite these very small things, they did not affect our overall enjoyment of the stay. We still had a pleasant time, and we are looking forward to returning to Mimis in the future. Location is great!

Amazing
GGaétan96We stayed at the Londoner for 2 nights. This hotel is perfect to enjoy living in the great city center of London.
We stayed in the corner suite which is really spacious and comfortable.
The swimming pool area is really pleasant to have a relaxing time.
We ordered food from the dine in service but it was not that tasty.
I recommend this hotel for all couple that would like a good experience in the city center of London.
GGuest UserThe hotel is a traditional British hotel, the hotel is not big, the decoration is very delicate. The location is convenient, in the Covent Garden pedestrian street, close to the subway, and within walking distance to the British Museum and Art Museum. The hotel has a great breakfast and a free drink bar.
JJohnnysiicAt this price in London should be great value, equipment and cleanliness is not bad, but the deposit of £1,000 for two days is really incomprehensible.
LLondon 2023First of all, it is located in the Soho area, so it is very convenient to go to London's sightseeing spots. It is convenient because there are many nearby restaurants, such as 3 minutes on foot from the subway station, 2 minutes from Tesco, and 7 minutes from Chinatown. I thought it would be inconvenient because there was no restaurant, but there were many places to eat nearby, so I felt that it was better not to have a restaurant. The bedroom wasn't too small and there was adequate space, and simple food could be eaten using a microwave. The hot water came out very well. The staff at check-in was very kind, and the concierge was very kind, such as the first train on the subway on Sundays. If I go to London again, I will definitely visit again. thought
SShirlynThe hotel is very centralized. Walkable distance to most of the tourist attractions like Big Ben, Buckingham Palace etc. size of room is small but it's okay for a solo traveller. There is also a police station right opposite the hotel which makes you feel safer. There are also alot of restaurants and pubs around. Subways are also walkable. Definitely worth a stay.
JJIJUNAbout five minutes from Chinatown, the location is very good, quiet in the middle of noisy. The same 17-square-meter room is much more spacious than the Hilton Hotel near Paddington. Breakfast is a regular croissant breakfast with milk, coffee, juice, bread, poached eggs, bacon, sausage and hash browns. The most important thing is to walk to Bond Street and the shopping mall Sey Fridge is also ten minutes. The price is really high, I will book this hotel again next time I come to the UK.
GGuest UserThe W London is conveniently located near Leicester Square in walking distance of Tottenham Court Road and the Elizabeth line to and from Heathrow Airport. It’s very close to many theatres and shows and steps away from Chinatown. Service was exceptional, including at breakfast. Housekeeping was amazing. Just be prepared to deal with crowds outside the hotel in the evenings. It’s a busy area.
SSh3rry_WExcellent location. The rooms are small but very clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. The tea and coffee station in the lounge area was always well-maintained, and being able to take a cup to go for free was a nice touch. Overall, a wonderful place to stay.
MMartin newtVery good location and the apartment was more than we expected very pleased . Everything you need within a few minutes walk. Lots of shops and restaurants. Couldn't wish for better place .
GGuest UserIt was so small that we could barely open two suitcases.
The shower had no steps, so the water flowed all the way into the toilet.
There was no tissue paper, which was inconvenient.
However, the location was good. I felt at ease because there was a Japanese person at the front desk.
