The staff are friendly however I feel tge room was mis sold. It us fathers day ans I did notcwant to cause a fuss. We booked and additional room and the hotel accomodated in their adjacent apartment however it was significantly different to the hotel smelt like and fekt like a council building and the kerb appeal was lacking.
The pictures relate to rhe outside of the apartment and the flooring leading up to the apartment.
The bed was fim however comfy and hard sharp edges bith myself and my wife bumped into. The bathroom was very small. There was double glazing on he property and opening the window you could see the old framework and tissues were left in between.
This does not seem right.
I look forward in hearing from you.
Re, Daniel
The restaurant is very cozy! Breakfast is good! Our family of three stayed for five days. The service staff are very friendly and responsive! It is a cost-effective hotel in the Camberwell area. A few tens of meters away is the bus stop. Very convenient.
Very close to tube station and bus stop. Its well situated. The bathroom were clean. I was there for just one night (Friday). It was quiet. I didn't use any other facilities. Would stay again.

The second floor dining bar is very good, coffee tea is free, the wine is different, the service is very good, the delivery is very cheap and fair. Health is very good, there is no elevator, but just get used to it, the front desk will help to carry the box. Can only smoke outside.
Brilliantly situated YHA in London with affordable private rooms, cafe, bar, communal kitchen, lounge, clean rooms and comfy beds.
About a 30minute scenic walk to Tower Bridge, an excellent location for budget travellers.
🍺 The Rose & Crown, London Bridge I just Nestled near the iconic bridge, this cozy pub is a blend of tradition and modernity. With a pint in hand, the warm ambiance and friendly chatter create the perfect setting. PUBLOVE's delicious burgers and classic British ales make for a memorable evening in the heart of London.
We stayed for one night. We were very pleased to discover how close the hotel was to Borough Market. The Shard was at the end of the road too. Lovely staff, beautiful clean rooms. Had a great sleep, no noise. The breakfast was lovely too. Well worth the money. Would definitely stay again and recommend
We recently stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton Dockside and had a generally pleasant experience with a few areas for improvement.
Location:
The hotel is a bit removed from the city centre, which means you'll need to plan your travel carefully. We found ourselves relying mostly on the boat to Canary Wharf, which, while scenic, adds some time and coordination to each outing.
Check-in Experience:
The check-in process was a highlight. We were greeted warmly with the signature DoubleTree cookies – a small but lovely surprise. Even more thoughtful, the staff noted that we were celebrating a birthday and offered us two complimentary drinks at the bar. That personal touch really made us feel welcomed and appreciated.
Room Comfort:
The room was comfortable enough, but there were a couple of issues worth noting. The soundproofing wasn’t great – we could clearly hear the sea waves throughout the night, which might be relaxing for some, but was a bit disruptive for us. Additionally, the bathroom could have been cleaner. We found garbage left in the bin, which detracted from the overall sense of hygiene and attention to detail.
Overall:
This hotel has some lovely, thoughtful staff and a few standout gestures that enhanced our stay. However, its distance from central London and a few cleanliness and soundproofing issues might not make it ideal for every traveller. With a bit more attention to room maintenance, it could be a much stronger option.
Fantastic location for what was needed for our short visit , staff were friendly at the reception and the house keeping staff. Overall the room was clean and modern looking, however what was a disappointment was that the bed was very poor in my experience for hotels as it had a strange hard mattress which they fitted with two bed toppers to compensate I guess. (See pic below)
Also the pillows were uncomfortable for me, because of synthetic style pillows. I find they get hot very quickly and one wasn’t an enough or two was to much as all the inside part goes to the side.
Only two pillows provided, with additional spare pillow in a bag with no pillow case which I had to ask for and no hand towels which I thought was strange.
Overall I would I recommend the hotel if you don’t mind what I mention about the sleeping side.
Thank you.
The room was clearly recently refurbished, which was a nice touch. However, having suck a thick carpet feels a bit antiquated for 2024, and the fact that there was no AC is concerning - it was May, so not particularly hot, but I could see it getting unbearable in the summer. This was the furthest room possible (three flights of stairs in a narrow staircase up), but I got used to it after a while. Not suitable if you have heavy suitcases for sure though. Location is unbeatable, so I can't fault this hotel.

Great
GGaétan96The perfect hotel to enjoy the view of London as it is an attraction itself.
You can enjoy the sunset and sunrise as you are chilling on bed with your beloved.
The service is really amazing and efficient.
The breakfast is really good and full of diverse foods.
Sky pool and spa were closed but we have enjoyed it before and it was amazing.
The only negative point to be fair is the gym which is not amazingly equipped in term of lifting equipment.
I definitely recommend this hotel for every couple that want to have an unforgettable stay in London.
RRichard FramptonVery nice stay at the Bankside hotel though not without some difficulties. We had asked for a quiet room but were placed right next to the lift lobby and opposite the water dispenser, and with hard floors throughout the lift lobby and entrance area of the rooms this meant a LOT of noise coming in the room at all hours. In fairness, the front desk tried to find an alternative but it was not what we were looking for so we opted to stay where we were and made the best of it.
Aside from this everything else about the stay was great, a really lovely modern hotel with very friendly and fun staff, great breakfast (though not cheap) and good location on the South Bank.
We would definitely stay here again (though ask not to be in this room location).
Special mention to breakfast staff who helped get extra fruit for our toddler and concierge who gave him Christmas gifts from the tree... lovely touches.
GGuest UserThe price and service are basically in line with the UK. When I checked in, I was received by Mr. ATTILA, who was gentle, patient, meticulous and friendly! The room I booked was originally a three-bed room, and the price was higher than that of a large bed and a single bed. He took the trouble to show me different rooms, and promised to send me a single bed. The hotel breakfast has a variety of food, especially the slow-cooked omelette, which is cooked to the right temperature. The facilities are complete, but the dining seats are a bit crowded and sometimes the neighbors get up and move their seats, which will be disturbed.
TTony Cheong K TThe hotel location is convenient and clean room, service is nice and good ; especially when I go check out, the concierge staff knew that we did not have breakfast, then prepared two special breakfast for us at no cost (even though there are no more eggs or coffee, he sincerely bring out toast, bacon, ham, cake and fruit sets)
The car park is okay but I don't know why they charged me $35 pounds while the price list mentioned $25 pounds per night
KKartigeyan PerumalI recently stayed at a wonderful hotel, and it exceeded all my expectations. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making check-in a breeze. My room was spotless, featuring stunning views and comfortable furnishings. The complimentary breakfast offered a delightful variety of options, and the on-site restaurant served delicious meals throughout the day. The location was perfect, just steps from the beach and close to local attractions. I also enjoyed the relaxing pool area, which added to the overall charm. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable getaway. I can’t wait to return!
GGuest UserAmazing stay in Hilton London Tower Bridge. Excellent location near Tower Bridge/ The Shard, well- taken care of a very polite, pleasant ,very considerate and professional service from Ivy at the reception who upgraded our booking with complimentary breakfast/drinks after realising we are celebrating an occasion. Will definitely recommend and book again.
HHenry travellerIt was my family trip to London city. First day the trainee at the reception is not so well to assist us on check in. She arrange 3 rooms with 3 different floor. And that is very limit parking with 35gdp per night. I have booked 3 rooms but 1 of the double bed room is super tiny and the bathroom very small as well. You can’t even open up a luggage. It make me so angry to contact trips.com Cs to make a complaint. Cause I pay the same price to get the different room. After next day, the reception has settle the issue but it take a time and delay my trip schedule. It’s not a good feel during the travel.
孙孙Hotel location is ok, there are convenience stores nearby, you need to take subway and bus to travel, walk to attractions or shopping malls too far. The room has kitchen utensils such as oven, induction cooker, pot, tableware, etc. It is convenient to cook things by yourself.
GGuest UserThe Owner & Staff above & Beyond , welcoming and knowledgeable ; Matthew , Olivia ( Liv) , Inman (?) & Rafael .
* The Food exceptional and so innovative and Fresh
* The extra bonus : two welcoming Hounds( Axel & Merrill ) - a delight to be with them.
* The Rooms & Bathrooms : best hot shower ever & cosy & Warm Rooms.
* Fantastic location & No 1 Bus outside so useful to City & Hamsted Heath & Camden .
Iinge0808Very satisfied, breakfast is rich, the room is quiet, the mattress is moderately hard and soft, the air conditioning is easy to use, this hotel is a good stay experience. The front desk clerk is also very friendly,
