Lovely Premier PLUS rooms; had to extend plans in London for the marathon and so just 1 night stay before next hotel ; lovely plus rooms: decor great, pukka tea ; mini fridge ; green and black mini choc; nice cups and glasses and lovely and quiet. Handy to have Sainsbury’s express and Tesco express 4 steps away. Win win. Also Wagamama 3 mins on foot!!!

The location of this premier inn is great - literally opposite Tate Modern, next to Tesco express for snacks and anything else you fancy. The rooms are spacious and clean - bathroom a little tired but nothing too bad. We didn’t eat there - 10 mins from Borough market so we went there instead. Lots of nice restaurants around plus Southbank. Didn’t seem particularly busy despite being in Easter holidays. Quiet surroundings but safe. Only issue is the price - for a no frills hotel, I think it should be cheaper. That said, London is London.

Super location just behind the Tate Modern, a few minutes stroll over the bridge from Blackfriars station. Tesco and Sainsbury's on the doorstep. The hotel was spotless and we had a nice quiet family room. Reception and Breakfast staff were both efficient and friendly. Had a great stay and would definitely return.

Had a brilliant stay at this hotel- the staff were so helpful and friendly, and the room was lovely, very spacious and clean. The location is very good- it’s a 10 minute walk to the underground station, and is right next door to a Tesco express and a Sainsbury’s. Nice and quiet too.

Our stay at Premier Inn Southwark was nothing short of a nightmare. On our first night, my daughter, who has severe food allergies, was served the wrong meal, putting her in a life-threatening situation. This incident left us traumatized and ruined the entire break before it even began.Despite our distress, the staff made us feel like burdens rather than valued guests. Our requests for a hotel move, considering the serious nature of the incident, were met with indifference. We were left with no suitable alternatives, forcing us to stay in an environment where we felt unwelcome and unsafe. The lack of adequate staffing levels, especially in the evenings, further compounded our frustration. The restaurant experience was a total miss, and despite paying for the meal deal, we were forced to dine elsewhere due to the incompetence and negligence displayed by the hotel staff. Overall, our experience at Premier Inn Southwark was deeply disappointing and distressing. I would strongly advise against staying at this establishment, especially for anyone with food allergies or those seeking a welcoming and accommodating environment.

Good location though few blocks walk to Jubilee line station. Clean and nice rooms. Shower with good pressure and hot water. Quiet room, dark lights and comfortable bed guaranteed good night sleeps. I was very happy with the hotel. Only if you aee business traceller the wifi might be issue but could not choose better hotel with a weekend visit in London. I can highly recommended this hotel not a luxury but a very good basic hotel.

Love the location of this hotel. Easy walking distance to Tube, Uber boats and Borough market. There seem to be more places to eat round about each time we come. Each time we have stayed we have had a great night’s sleep. The Premier Inn definitely deliver on that promise. The hotel was so quiet at night, even on the weekend.

The hotel is very close to Tate Modern and the South Bank area, and accessible from Southwark tube. Rooms are a good size and relatively comfortable. Basic tea and coffee facilities (we took our own premium tea and coffee), nice shower gel, hairdryer (although a bit temperamental. Despite the central location it is very quiet. There are excellent amenities close by, including several small supermarkets and cafes/restaurants. It's c. 30 min walk to the theatre district, and feels pretty safe. Check in is via kiosk, but do ask at the desk if you've booked a twin room, as this may need sorting on arrival. Check in staff were very discreet about room numbers and the lift has key card access for extra safety

.. not worth paying for the plus room. Have been twice before in ordinary- wanted to try the plus. The ceiling had dead tiny flies, the coffee machine was meh and room not quite as furnished as expected. Bed was comfy - the reason we choose this chain, and the location is great but room disappointing. Have one more booking for a normal room - hope this trip was just a blip
