The Whitechapel

The area wasn’t great and as I walked up to the hotel, there were 10 food delivery drivers stood outside the main door waiting for the restaurant on the ground floor. Reception was ok and I was escorted to my room. Room was clean although the set up was unusual- sink was in the bedroom, shower room had a flat tiled floor which meant the room filled with water if you took a long shower. The shower room would benefit from windows that have some kind of conceal because they were clear which meant you have to shower with the blackout blind down. Overall, the hotel was ok but the area was a little intimidating- wouldn’t want to be a single female staying there.

Not the biggest room, but clean and tidy. Location just 5mins from Whitechapel tube. Friendly and helpful staff. Convenient for where we needed to be in the east end.

I stayed there with my adult daughters from 12/07/2025 to 15/07/2025 in a triple room. The room was quite small for our stay and the hotel was quite basic , but it was very clean, comfortable and the location to the tube was so handy. The Tube station itself was also very close to the city center which was ideal. The staff at the hotel were also very friendly . We had a lovely welcome from Adam on checking in and a very helpful lady (didnt get her name) during our stay

No city view but city view prices for delux city view room …… and description states a”city view” on website . Was told no rooms have city view really. Reception person was on their own seeing people up to the rooms , checking us in etc ! Remained friendly despite this tried to do his best. Room was vey small and there was definitely no city view (as paid for) air con not working in that room. We were told the hotel was fully booked and we couldn’t move rooms, asked for refund. Moved rooms after that, being shown x 5 miraculously vacant located rooms. Room was larger than last but the bath was broken, blinds were broken, fridge broken, toilet seat dirty looking & mastic hanging off bath. Windows too dirty to see well out of. Area outside was not the best either. I Feel this is little hotel / quality / value for a lot of money.
