In a relatively quiet part of (central) London, this hotel is close enough to highlights of any London trip. Near Kings Cross station, just a few minutes walk away.
The rooms are clean and neat, with a coffeemaker and kettle available. There is no airconditioning because it is a historically listed building, but fans are available in the room.
The rooms are modern and the beds are good.
My only point of criticism is the quality of the WiFi, which was poor in my room, which mattered because as it was a basement room, cell reception was absent most of the time.
Overall, an excellent experience!

Excellent property with character, modern amenities and stylish decor in a peaceful location only 12-15 mins walk from St Pancras station.
Good welcome, everything clearly explained including the fact our room was in a different building.
Most special requests dealt with. However we asked for a good view and yet got a basement room. Also basement location meant windows could only be opened to a small level because otherwise would have created security risk, however that then meant room was quite warm and would have been very hot in summer. So suggest asking specifically for higher floor.

The hotel is new and clean. There is no lift though. Receptionist is fine and polite but not very happy or welcoming. Location is good, in the center but not noisy. It is near the Russel Square

Breakfast was served in a college restaurant, which had a Harry Potter feel. The hotel is located in the UCL campus, and the security environment is quite good.
The hotel front desk was not enthusiastic enough. We couldn't find the room without being taken to it. There was no elevator, and the room was in the basement, which was not easy to find.

It should be called a bad enough hotel. If you don't book a suite, you will definitely be given a basement room or a simple room built in the backyard on the first floor. I paid 3,000 yuan for a single room, but was arranged in the basement. This hotel does not provide slippers, the carpet is unacceptably dirty, and the stairs and public areas are sprinkled with strong-smelling fresheners to cover up the smell. The room is poorly soundproofed, and the flushing and closing sounds of the next door are clear. In the basement room, once there are suitcases and talking pedestrians passing by, they will be disturbed and can only fall asleep late at night.
