HAM Yard Hotel, Firmdale Hotels

This restaurant holds so many special memories for us—we’ve probably sat at nearly every table, from the cozy inside to the charming outside! we are honestly gutted we missed having our Christmas meal here this year. From the reception team to the waiters, the staff are always so warm and personable—not just going through the motions, but genuinely engaging with a quick laugh or chat. Service is always top-notch and the food and drinks are beautifully presented. The carafe of Rioja we had was the perfect way to end the night as they were closing. A 10/10 experience, every single time!

We spent 5 nights at Ham Yard in July and loved it. Check-in: The reception staff was great and super-efficient. We were traveling with 12 people and had 6 rooms. We had 20 pieces of luggage shipped ahead of time. It was all sorted and waiting for us on arrival and we were able to check-in early to our rooms. Staff: All the staff were great. They all seemed to know us and were always asking how we were and how our stay was going. Location: We found the location to be very convenient for us. We were able to walk to shops, bars, restaurants, the pharmacy etc., all within a few blocks. Spa/Gym: We did not visit the spa, but we went to the gym each morning. The gym was a good size and always clean. They had several cardio machines, free weights and machines and it never felt crowded. They also provided filtered water which was nice. Food/Room Service: We ordered room service our first night ate on the 4th floor on the patio. The waiters looked after us the entire time and got us anything additional we needed during our meal, so it felt like we were in the restaurant. Everyone was happy with the food during our stay. Room: I had luxury junior terrace suite on the 4th floor, and it was perfect. The room and bathroom were a good size, and there was a decent amount of closet space. I saw the regular rooms as well and they were also a pretty good size. Amenities: They have a full bowling alley in the basement which was very cool, and the kids loved it. Overall, we loved the hotel and service and will definitely stay again when we come back to London.

This is a special hotel, it’s faultless. The reception staff are warm and helpful, the design of the place is eccentric English and everything just looks brilliant. I have stayed here a few times and the bedrooms are faultless. This time, due to repeat business, I was upgraded to an apartment which is just fantastic. A continuation of all the great design elements with a large living dining area and kitchen. I ate with friends in the restaurant and had drinks in the bar too. The place has a terrific vibe, the food is excellent quality. I had the monkfish which was perfect. Service in the restaurant was excellent. I didn’t love the dessert as I took a risk on the pear and nut crumble. When they asked if I liked it, I honestly replied ‘er, it was ok’. They removed it from the bill without question.

We went for a Gin cocktail evening to the Roof top bar. A lovely and nice setup on an autun evening. The drinks were good and the service was good. We tried the gin cordial, martinez, gibson and enjoyed them all. Lovely rooftop. I am told it is ususally only open for resident guests.

We visited for just one night. The hotel is in a great position for many West End theatres and Regent Street. It is very smart and the staff are very polished and appropriately helpful and deferential for a five-star hotel. Although open for a few years now, it feels very new and decoration in public areas and restaurant is immaculate. Room we had was also immaculate and bright and a reasonable size, but a little soulless. We were in the Superior Room, which we discovered is the lowest category and comes without a bath, despite costing £700 a night or so bed and breakfast. We may stay there again but there are other Central London hotels which provide equally good rooms at a lower cost so it won’t be our first choice.

The ham Yard is one of the best hotels in my opinion in Soho the hotel is beautiful extremely clean and the staff can't do more than enough for you stated one other place when I came this month and it was awful no comparison if you have a chance to stay here I would recommend it it's absolutely wonderful everything is clean beautiful updated and the rooms are very comfortable will stay here for every trip I come to London when possible
