Great location, clean and modern. Great breakfast; excellent staff. The only minus side is room is rectangular - may not be able to swing a big suitcase under the bed if needed.

Pros Not too bad a location, can get a little uncomfortable at night for solo travellers while heading back as there are few people loitering around. Smart rooms, control panel control the lights and the signs for the door. Compact room but it's cosy for one. Cons (scary encounter) Someone rang my doorbell and tried to force open the room door in the middle of the night. Luckily i locked it from the inside and door couldn't be opened. It happened twice within the same night. There was no room phone so i had to call the hotel from my own mobile, and feeling puzzled, 2 staff came up to my room to clarify. They then told me a drunk 'guest' was 'assisted' to come up the hotel rooms, but she had actually went to the wrong hotel. Weird explanation, because firstly, a room key is needed to access the lift. Secondly, if the person who assisted the drunk guest is a hotel staff who owns a master key since he's able to access the lift, he should've verify her identity prior to allowing the guest up the rooms premises. Its a safety concern. What if I did not lock the room door from the inside? The drunk guest could have just barged in and i as a female, was staying alone. Lastly, there was no kettle, only 2 bottles of water.

It doesn't feel safe for girls to travel alone, so don't stay here! Although the great indoor market Spitalfields Market is just a 6-minute walk away, there are many immigrants and Arab men on the street starting in the afternoon and evening. They stand on the road, smoking and staring at passers-by. The road is covered with graffiti (the second photo is at the entrance of the hotel), and nearby is the Whitechapel, where the public security is worrying and there are homeless people. Apart from the security issues, the hotel facilities are good and the rooms have EU sockets. A 24/7 coffee machine, tea bags, milk, soy milk and a simple breakfast are available on the first floor for £6.

The surrounding area is quite lively, shopping is convenient, the room is too small, and the service is good

The room is small but it is fine as a hotel for relaxation. The breakfast and service were very good!

Location was great, but for an accessible room the walk in shower was dangerous and dirty. They should have concentrated on the deco rattan than the technology. The water in the shower flooded the floor. It stayed there all night and so when getting up to go to the loo your feet got wet and so wet when you get into bed. Worse still, it was a slip hazard.

One of my favorite hotels in London. Great location, extremely friendly staff. Rooms are quite small (as they often are in London), but very stylish and clean. There aren‘t any kettles in the room, but a 24h tea and coffee station with a hot water dispenser. They even provide soy milk.

I stay in Premier Inns about 80 times a year for work. Stayed in lots of hubs and I quite like them. This was the first one where I asked to change room. The rooms are looking shabby and the first room was dirty. Greasy handprints on the walls, dirty sink, stains on the blind and a broken blind. The second room was better, but still stained carpets and shabby sink, mouldy overflow, and missing plug. The rooms need a deep clean. Also, as with all hubs there is no kettle in the room, which is fine, but there is only 1 communal coffee machine for the entire hotel and it's set to half cup. It's just weird. Other hub hotels have 2 or 3 machines. If you need to stay in the area and want to stay at a Premier Inn, stay at the Shoreditch one 3 minutes walk away. It's cleaner.
